    Make a backup of your index.php and save it and use the one that came with the contribution or copy the changes from the index.php in the contribution to your index.php file. Sounds like you missed the index page. Hope that helps. Mair

    Hi, The following pertains to this contribtion, in case anyone is wondering why I am asking this: do you know what I could put in my code or htaccess so that when a mistake is made entering an address in the url, that it will show a 404. As it is right now it redirects everything back to my homepage when an error is made in the url, also old pages when clicked on take me to the homepage and I really don't want google or whoever to get a 200 in the header but rather a 404 so they can get rid of my old pages. Hate for them to think double content here. It would take me eons to redirect old pages with a 301 redirectpermanent in htaccess. Thanks so much. Mair

    After the update it does work both ways. I watched the spider index pages for awhile last night and they were converting all upper case to lower case so when replicating what they were doing it didn't take you to the appropriate page. Now with the update it will work. So if someone clicks on a link somewhere in internet space and it happens to be in all lowercase the link will now bring them to the right page. I read over at webmasterworld that some search engines will convert to all lowercase when indexing pages. Also I had some titles way too long, almost a book, lol, so I shortened some of them as the search engine last night was only picking up only a certain amount of characters. Really the shorter url the better. Mair

    The search engine is Inktomi. It is converting the uppercase letters in the categories and product titles to lowercase. So if they list my urls like that they won't go to the pages. I am looking for a rewrite rule. Mair

    Problem?? I have been watching a search engine tonight and it is converting the capital letters in the url to lowercase. When the url is in lowercase it redirects back to the home page. So how should we deal with this. Is there a rewrite code to transform any capital letters to lowercase as lowercase would probably be better anyway. I hate to even think of changing over 3000 titles, yikes. Thanks alot. Mair

    Now my back button works great. All is working great, no problems for me with anything. I used this code for the back buttons: <?php $back = sizeof($navigation->path)-2; if (isset($navigation->path[$back])) { ?> <td class="main" align="center"><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link($navigation->path[$back]['page'], tep_array_to_string($navigation->path[$back]['get'], array('action')), $navigation->path[$back]['mode']) . '">' . tep_image_button('button_back.gif', IMAGE_BUTTON_BACK) . '</a>'; ?></td> <?php } else {?> <td class="main" align="center"><a href="java script:history.go(-1)"><?php echo tep_image_button('button_back.gif', IMAGE_BUTTON_BACK); ?></a></td> <?php } ?> Mair

    I just installed the new version and it works great. The drop down for manufacturers works great, the bread crumbs work, the nested categories works great. Also all my old links from the original osc indexed links work. My back button is missing, I will look into that, no biggie if I can't get that working. I really like the concept of this contribution. I used another one for about a year but wasn't totally happy with it. This is what I have been looking and waiting for. Thanks for everyones hard work, wish I was a coder. Mair

    No I don't have nested categories, but when I moved a couple of categories under a main category for subcategories, when clicking on the subcategory it would redirect to the main category so that part does not work for me. My links work on the product info pages. Links work on the product listing pages and the buy now links work on the new product pages. Manufacturers drop down still shows mysite.com/?manufacturers_id=17 mysite.com/?manufacturers_id=17 instead of mysite.com/manufacturersname/ So for the most part it is working pretty good for me. Everything seems to working great on my site with the new update. I haven't found any bugs on my site yet. I did have another contribution for sef but I really like this one so much better, now to change some similar names on products and that should do it. Thanks so much. Will let you know if I find any bugs. Mair :D

  12. i'm having this problem, has anyone fixed it yet? Hi everyone, Well I have this contribution running great now after a couple days dealing with it. The error issue I was able to correct with a previous persons code and hacked it a little and added it to public_html/admin/customers.php just add the following lines to the bottom after the last </table> Then go into your database open the address_book and make sure customers_id default is set to 1, then go into the database and open customers and make sure the customers_default_address_id default is set to 1. And here is the code that I placed after the last </table> in admin/customers.php. Hope this helps I couldn't get this to work for the longest time. I had other issues too that I also fixed and will try to remember and post some info. <? ######Query 1 $customersrecords = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM customers") or die ("Wha Happen??? Error 1"); while($customerrows = tep_db_fetch_array($customersrecords)) { $e = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM address_book WHERE customers_id ='$customerrows[customers_id]'") or die ("Wha Happen??? Error 2"); $real = tep_db_fetch_array($e); $updatedefaultaddress = mysql_query("UPDATE customers SET customers_default_address_id = '$real[address_book_id]' WHERE customers_id='$customerrows[customers_id]'") or die ("Wha Happen??? Error 3"); } ?> Have a great night. Mary Ann :D

    Matti & Tony, Thanks for your time on this. I tried both and no go. So after some hair pulling and a few more hours, lol, I am no programmer otherwise I would have figured this out sooner, this is what I came up with and it works for my version 5/30/03 CVS MS2. This is around line 377 in application_top Original code: (where I was getting the 1064 error) // remove item from the wishlist ///// CHANGES TO case 'remove_wishlist' BY DREAMSCAPE ///// case 'remove_wishlist' : tep_db_query("delete from " . TABLE_WISHLIST . " WHERE customers_id=$customer_id AND products_id=$pid"); // tep_redirect(tep_href_link($goto, tep_get_all_get_params($parameters), 'NONSSL')); break; // performed by the 'buy now' button in product listings and review page case 'buy_now' : if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { tep_db_query("delete from " . TABLE_WISHLIST . " WHERE customers_id=$customer_id AND products_id=$products_id"); } if (tep_has_product_attributes($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])) { tep_redirect(tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO, 'products_id=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'], 'NONSSL')); } else { $cart->add_cart($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'], $cart->get_quantity($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])+1); tep_redirect(tep_href_link($goto, tep_get_all_get_params($parameters), 'NONSSL')); } break; New Code to fix 1064 error: // remove item from the wishlist ///// CHANGES TO case 'remove_wishlist' BY DREAMSCAPE ///// case 'remove_wishlist' : tep_db_query("delete from " . TABLE_WISHLIST . " where products_id = '" . $HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "' and customers_id = '" . $customer_id . "'"); break; // performed by the 'buy now' button in product listings and review page case 'buy_now' : if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { tep_db_query("delete from " . TABLE_WISHLIST . " where products_id = '" . $HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "' and customers_id = '" . $customer_id . "'"); } if (tep_has_product_attributes($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])) { tep_redirect(tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO, 'products_id=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'], 'NONSSL')); } else { $cart->add_cart($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'], $cart->get_quantity($HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'])+1); tep_redirect(tep_href_link($goto, tep_get_all_get_params($parameters), 'NONSSL')); } break; This line here: tep_db_query("delete from " . TABLE_WISHLIST . " WHERE customers_id=$customer_id AND products_id=$pid"); just wouldn't work for me at all and changing the $pid to $products_id didn't work. It didn't like the $ in front of the products_id for some reason so I replaced this line in two places above with: tep_db_query("delete from " . TABLE_WISHLIST . " where products_id = '" . $HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "' and customers_id = '" . $customer_id . "'"); And it likes it, all works wonderfully and no more 1064 errors. I hope that helps someone else with this problem. I hope I explained it okay as I am a real novice at this. Thanks for the great contribution. Love it. Mair

    I have looked and tried various things for a couple of days to get rid of the following error. I have read every thread that I can find pertaining to this. The product doesn't seem to be recognized by the database to delete it. 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1 delete from customers_wishlist WHERE customers_id=54 AND products_id= It seems to have something to do with the remove area in application_top. It will not disappear. I apparently am doing something wrong. I am running snapshot 5/30 CVS MS2. I have deactivated the wishlist until I figure out how to fix this. Everything else worked great and I can't wait to get it working completely. This one little problem is driving me so crazy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Mary
