USPS Rate V4, Intl Rate V2 (official support thread)
georgecvsc replied to a topic in Shipping Modules
I just installed this module. I set all my options, but was not getting any USPS shipping methods offered. I went back to the configuration and in the section where you select the class/min/max/handling, all the boxes are unchecked and the values are in the wrong columns. (See attached.) I did see an earlier that describes a similar problem, but I was not clear if it had been solved, or how to solve it. -

Received the following from PayPal. Does anyone think it will require changes to this module? Does the module verify the PayPal IP address? If so, then the third item would require a change. Please be sure to share this notification with your technical resources because network configuration changes may be necessary to avoid a disruption in service. Please note that there is also information regarding a short service interruption for Payflow on October 1st. You must either point to DNS or update access control list with newly added IP addresses to avoid an interruption in service. While these changes must be made by early March, 2012, we strongly encourage you to make any necessary updates by November 15th 2011 as this will help minimize any potential disruptions during the holiday season. -

I think I fixed my problem. I don't really understand why it now works, though. I noticed that it was skipping the shipping selection and wasn't calculating tax. I reviewed the settings for the Order Total Module and the Shipping Module. I did't change any settings, but it now works fine. Scary. -

I am using version 0.9.1 of PayPal WPP. I switched hosts and now get this error: Your credit card was declined. Please try another card or contact your bank for more info. Invalid Data (10525) This transaction cannot be processed. The amount to be charged is zero. When I changed hosts I copied all the files, tranferred the database, updated the config files and then updated the API certificate location. Did I miss something? I need to fix this ASAP. -
 My mistake. It was there all along! I had renamed it to "credit card" because that's how I wanted it to appear to the user. I forgot, so I didn't recognize it when I looked at the module list. I think I change it to credit card (via PayPal).

I copied OsCommerce code from one web site to a new one. I created the database from scratch, including the SQL mod for PayPal WPP. Everything works fine, except the PayPal WPP module is not listed, so I can't install it. I went back and looked at the original web site, and the module is not listed there either! It had been listed in the orignal web site right after I made the PayPal WPP mods and I was able to install at that time. The original web site is still accepting PayPal payments, it's just that the module is not listed in admin. What could be causing the module to not be listed in admin?

I didn't study your question in enough detail to know if this is the problem, but I just installed the module and discovered the "New Install" instructions are missing a line for catalog/includes/classes/order.php. They need to say to add the following after line 15: //kgt - discount coupon var $coupon; //end kgt - discount coupon The above code is in the sample order.php file provided, it's just not mentioned in the instructions.

I'm doing a web site for a jeweler who wants to categorize jewelry in two ways: by material (gold, silver, diamond, pearl, etc.) and by type of jewelry (earring, necklace, ring, etc.). We want to list both sets of categories on the left-hand side of the page where there is a single category listing now. Maybe it would work by adding an attribute to the product, similar to the manufacturer. Is there a contribution that would allow for this?

Thanks. I had already read that FAQ, but still had trouble finding the right page. I called UPS and they wouldn't talk to me on the phone about it. They said to use their contact form. I did and I eventually got an answer. The following 19-step procedure from UPS tech support will net a developer key and an access key. Step #2 is the key. If you don't start on that page you won't find the key. (Sounds like an old computer game I used to play.) I also learned if you use the "contact us" page and choose "tech support" your ticket does not go directly to tech support. You're supposed to request online tool tech support at www.ups.com/e_comm_access/toolsupport Procedure to get developer and access keys: 1. Open your desired Internet browser. 2. Access the UPS web site at http://www.ups.com/onlinetools. 3. Click on the [Register] button, located to the right of the screen. 4. In the “Complete Information for My UPS Registration” box, enter your name, e-mail, User ID and Password. Click on [Next]. 5. Once you have read through and understood the "UPS Terms and Conditions" page, click on the [Accept ->] button. 6. Fill in the fields on the "UPS: Registration" screen under "Complete Form for My UPS Registration". All fields labeled in bold print are required. All other fields are optional. To receive notices of future releases of OnLine Tools, select [Yes] to receive notices. UPS respects your privacy and will not send unsolicited emails to you. 7. Click on the [submit] button at the bottom of the window. 8. Once registered for My UPS, click on the [business Solutions] tab. 9. Under the “Business Technology Solutions” section, click on [uPS OnLine Tools]. 10. On the “UPS OnLine Tools” page, click on [Get OnLine Tools]. 11. In the gray box for “Standard Tools,” select the specific tool you would like. 12. The next screen looks like a registration screen; however, it is actually looking for additional information including your UPS account number. Once the information is entered and verified, click on the [submit] button at the bottom of the window. 13. In the gray box on the next webpage, you will be given your confirmation of the standard tools you have successfully registered for. Your Developer’s Key will be e-mailed to you in just a few moments, so please leave this screen open and monitor your e-mail until you receive the Developer’s Key. 14. Once you receive the Developer’s Key in the e-mail, copy it and click on the standard tool that most applies to you. 15. On the next webpage, you can request your Access Key. Click on [Get Access Key] on the right side of the screen. 16. Select the type of Access Key you desire, “XML” or “HTML.” If you are going to use a shopping cart, you will probably want to select XML Access Key unless otherwise directed by the shopping cart vendor. 17. Enter your Developer’s Key and click on [submit]. 18. Once again, verify that all the information in the bold type fields is accurate and complete on the “Provide Additional Information” page and click on [submit]. 19. Your Access Key will appear on the screen. It will also be sent to the default e-mail address in your UPS.com profile. -

What is the proper procedure to apply for the UPS developer key? I spent an hour mucking around the UPS web site and it seemed like I needed to apply for UPS Ready. I did that and 5 days later they rejected my application with a form email that had vague reasons that didn't seem to apply to me. (It said I had to be a 3rd party developer who develops their own software - I am and do.) -

I'm not sure, but it's not a good idea to collect credit card numbers without SSL and you would certainly be violating your PayPal agreement. Check with your host. They may have a shared SSL certificate for the server that you can use with the right URL. Or you can by one for $20 at GoDaddy. -

How does the PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout posted here compare with the module from PayPal? I'm trying to decide which one to use.
