  1. Hi there, Just to give you a bit of background, we have been running Ultimate SEO URLs 2.1c for a long time until October when we upgraded to 2.2.2 . About a month or so later, I noticed in "Google Sitemaps", dynamic URL's such as the ones generated by SEO URL's contribution were appearing as inaccessable (404 errors). As a result, after a few crawl attempts, Google dumped all dynamically generated URL's into the supplemental results. About 3-4 weeks ago, we rolled back to 2.1d in the hopes that things would go back to normal but the issues still remain. I think I figured the reason for the 404's but not sure how to fix it. Here is the server response code: HTTP/1.x 404 Not Found Date: Fri, 22 Dec 2006 21:38:09 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.4.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635.SR1.2 mod_ssl/2.8.28 OpenSSL/0.9.7a X-Powered-By: PHP/4.4.4 X-Pingback: http://www.domain.com/blog/xmlrpc.php Status: 404 Not Found Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT Last-Modified: Fri, 22 Dec 2006 21:38:09 GMT Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0 Pragma: no-cache Content-Encoding: gzip Vary: Accept-Encoding Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=76 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 The server is returning 404 but still displaying the page. What might be causing this? Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Jerry

  3. Hi Everyone, Just to give you a bit of background, we have been running Ultimate SEO URLs 2.1c for a long time until October when we upgraded to 2.2.2 . As a result, after a few crawl attempts, Google dumped all dynamically generated URL's into the supplemental results. About 3-4 weeks ago, we rolled back to 2.1d in the hopes that things would go back to normal but the issues still remain. I tried using tools like http://www.smart-it-consulting.com/interne...oofer/index.htm to see if I could reach pages generated by SEO URl's with no luck. Not sure why direct browsing works (for the most part, we've had several customers report they could not access the dynamicly generated URL's) but not when googlebot crawls the web site. Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Jerry
  4. Just to add to my previous post, I am running SEO URL's 2.2.2 and have recently tried to install PageCache v1.5 Thanks again for any help. Jerry
  5. I have the same issue - not sure if SEO URL's and page cache can co-exist? They are both written by the same guy, I'd expect they should work together but again you never know.
  6. Hi there, Is there an issue with "Sort products by" (name, price) functionality working with Ultimate SEO URL's? I noticed a few days ago sorting does not work anymore in my implementation and the only thing I can think of that might be causing it is SEO URLs. Any insight/help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Jerry
  7. Anyone who had a similar issue? Jerry
  8. Hi there, I was installing the Page Cache contribution and noticed that the two replacements involved in Step 6 require me to modify a previously commented out code (due to SEO URL's installation) in html_output.php file. Assuming tha the commented out code stays that way, do I still need to somehow add code the html_output.php or completely skip that step? Thanks. Jerry
  9. I am referring to Ultimate SEO URL's 2.2.2 . Previously I was running 2.1 and thought upgarding would fix it but no dice. When it fails, my site displays just the standard URL's. I am not sure if it is related t rewrite engine on the web server not working all the time or something else. I'd say it works 8 out of 10 times, but my concern is, if the Googlebot visits the site when it's not working, there is going to be some negative implications. (duplication of content). The other thing I noticed is, if you check what the spider sees with http://www.webconfs.com/search-engine-spider-simulator.php , it certainly displays the URLs with OSCsids. Again not sure, if this is unique to my site or every site running the contribution behave the same. Jerry
  10. Hi there, I am running the latest version of the SEO URL's and have been noticing for a while now that the SEO URL's don't always work. What might be causing the URL's to work intermittently but not all the time? Thanks. jerry
