  1. Hello all, I am currently running a 2.2 version of OSC which has a number of contributions installed. This is my first venture with OSC and I have been extreamly pleased with the whole set up including the support from these forums. I have an issue currently which I am not quite sure how to approach and would appreciate any advice... Having installed the "extra info pages with admin" contribution I have created a number of additional pages all of which work well. These pages are changed often and the ability to do so from "admin" is a real benefit. On some of the pages I have internal (same page) links to navigate around the page. In order to get this to work I have included the page id in the <a> tags. which works fine....until the id changes. I thought the id was equivalent to the page type - which of course it is not! Still not sure exactly why the id changes but note it is the main index to the db table "pages" and also that it is an auto increment field. (sorry new to Mysql as well! :-" ) As a newbie, can anyone help me out with the right way to sort this. Should/can I change the <a> tag reference to "page_type" and attempt to make that an index in the Mysql table or do i need to recode the <a> tag every time MySql increments the id?

  3. Hi Steve et al, Can you point me in the right direction please? I am a newbie but have installed a 2.2 site with a number of contributions successfully. (www.naturalharmonycentre.co.uk) Recently I wished to add a new page which describes the various properties of crystal we sell, this page I added successfully. Now I would like to link the product descriptions to it to aviod having to repeat detials for each item made from the same material. I think it is true that I can not "just" include an html link to the product description- is this correct? (this works on my local site, xampp on windows XP, but not on the live site???) I installed your contribution v 1.1 (which looks great btw) but get the following link address which of course does not compute! : "http://www.naturalharmonycentre.co.uk/%22/catalog/http://www.naturalharmonycentre.co.uk/catalog/crystal_properties.php#abalone" What have i missed?

    Database errors??

Hi Mark, yep - i checked and double cked this - it is the correct DB (actually the only one on my profile now). if i interpret this message correctly is the implication that whilst it can find the DB it can't find the table? full error message states: 1146 - Table 'nhcadmin_catdb.PAGES' doesn't exist select p.pages_id, p.sort_order, p.status, s.pages_title, s.pages_html_text from PAGES p LEFT JOIN pages_description s on p.pages_id = s.pages_id where p.status = 1 and s.language_id = '1' and p.page_type = 1 [TEP STOP] I am not really familiar with SQL but took the SQL file supplied with the contribution; and ran it as an SQL Query on the DB, phpMyAdmin confirmed a successful run and a subsequent look at the structure shows "pages" as a table along with a "pages_description" table... Make any sense to you?

    Contribution Issue

Hi, I have the exact same issue. using the latest version 4.6 on my development site (XP based under Xampp) I have a new "informations" box below the "information" box in the left column. (the notes asked for ? catalog/includes/languages/english.php ? ? ADD ? ? define('BOX_HEADING_PAGES', 'Informations'); so i know where that comes from! However i expected the new pages to be part of the original "information" box. Also I note that the link in this new box does not work; however the original link, in the original box does and links to the new page complete with new text... If anyone could guide me through this i would appreciate it
  8. Hi All, could anyone help me? Recent convert to OSC and have installed v_2.2 M 2 along with EP version EP_v2_76c_MS2 works fine on www. To enable testing have installed Xampp on my local XP machine and replicated site here, works fine. However EP locally provides the following error messages when I attempt to download the DB txt file... Warning: fopen(DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT/catalog/temp/EP2006Oct25-0808.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\catalog\admin\easypopulate.php on line 613 Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\catalog\admin\easypopulate.php on line 614 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\catalog\admin\easypopulate.php on line 615 You can get your file in the Tools/Files under/catalog/temp/EPEP2006Oct25-0808.txt I was carefull with the install and made the adjustments indicated, including creating a temp folder in my local catalog file structure.... Could someone point me in the right direction - what have i failed to see!?!?! :'(
