    Recover Cart Sales

Well if you read my response and your post you will see you are talking about Unsold Cart Report v1.7, it has its own topic just for that. This topic is ONLY for Recover Cart Sales TOOL. However if you are using the RCS Tool then you do not even need the UC Report. That is why I do not monitor the old REPORT ONLY forums. In the TOOL I did change all of them to standard tags, I typical do that in any file I work in. However, they work for me either way, I do it because it is OSC published standards. I never touched the REPORT included with the tool except to place the the version information in the header of the file. I never new that the short method could cause problems. I have never heard of it, I think Met00 is working on that report and I believe he said he would try to fix this on that file, and hopefully in the future. :)

I am sorry I thought it was clear enough... I will try to make it better in the next version. There are TWO 4's A and B. One is MS2 only the other is MS1 only. You do that step then go to the step specified. I will fix that in the next release. So if you have MS2 do step 4A then go to STEP 5, if you have MS1 do step 4B then go to STEP 6.

    Recover Cart Sales

This is strange that this is the first that this has come up. The readme had a mistake: Change in filenames.php: define('FILENAME_REPORT_RECOVER_CART_SALES', 'stats_recover_cart_sales.php'); To: define('FILENAME_STATS_RECOVER_CART_SALES', 'stats_recover_cart_sales.php'); This mistake has been there for the last 3 versions, and no one has had a problem until know. Thanks for bringing this to my attention I will update this soon.

Seems like something isn't installed correctly. stats_recover_cart_sales.php should not be in any file as an INCLUDE or REQUIRED file. Also thre is no LINE 0 in a file, everything starts on line 1. The whole error is very confussing. First double check that you have followed the install to the letter. Do a search of all your PHP files to see where stats_recover_cart_sales.php is showing up and see if it is being called by INCLUDE or REQUIRED calls. It should only show up in a function call to tep_href_link and by its defined name FILENAME_STATS_RECOVER_CART_SALES.

Sorry but the tool doesn't include the REPORT, as a report. The report became a TOOL, and it has its own report which is completely different. Remember in OSC REPORT and TOOL are specificly different items with different locations in OSC Admin. Wrong forum for that question. No, they are indepent of each other.

From where I see it, this is common sense. There is a REPORT for the TOOL and there is a TOOL. If you haven't used the TOOL, what is there for a REPORT to show? However, Met00 I think is recoding that report from the ground up, he may add something to that effect when he is done.

Your are looking at the REPORT not using the TOOL.

    Recover Cart Sales

That doesn't really fall under a "Recover Cart Sales" Tool. You are talking about ORDERS not CARTS. There may already be a tool for this in the contrib area, you may want to check. However, I do know of a good tool that is called Job Scheduler that you may want to look at. This seems more like a JOB you want to run on a regular basis. You just right a PHP script and it will run it on the schedule you set up. -Aalst

    Non-User Checkout

It is called Purchase without Account and I found it by searching for it in the contribs section, I also found it by searching the forums. I found it in both places. I do not use this feature, because they need to give me there Credit Card info, Billing and Shipping info, it is actually easier for them to register than to give it once and have to give it EVERY TIME they want to check-out. That is just my view on the subject. I am sure there are good reasons for it. :)

    Event Calender

Ivan, I know you haven't posted in here for a while, but I had a request. That is have you thought of having recurring event option in the ADMIN tool? The ability to say that this event recurres on every MONDAY for a specific period of time would be extremely useful. Right now all my events are recurring and I have to add the exact same information over and over and over again. I am surprised this hasn't be brought up before. Right now I am in the middle of some updates on another Contrib, so I thought I would ask the one who is most familiar with the Events Calendar code. Also anyone else who may have good PHP skills and willing to work on this. When I get a break I will have time to get familiar with this code, and look into making the changes myself, but I do not know when that will be. Thanks for your time... -Aalst

    Non-User Checkout

Well the best thing to do when you are looking for a contrib is to go search the contrib area: OSC Contibutions I know there is at least on that does what you want, I remember seeing it. and Non-Users are called Guests, so do several searches on the word Guest and Checkout, you will eventually find it and maybe others.

Having Performance Issues? Try this... recover_cart_sales.zip This is only recover_cart_sales.php, and should be placed over your existing one in your ADMIN directory, make sure you have 1.2 or 1.3 installed before doing this. Please let me know if it is BETTER, SAME, or WORSE. -Aalst

YES B) Thanks, I didn't know that... I will make the chagnes for MS1 and MS2 installs. Are there any other MS1 and MS2 differences that effect the installation of this tool?

Did you upgrade from 1.0/1.01 or did you just migrate from Unsold Cart to version 1.2/1.3 of this tool?

What about the other questions? Have you used version 1.0 of this tool? or did you come in at version 1.2 and if so then try version 1.0 to see if the problem is in the orignal code or code that I have introduced? I need to know where to look. Especially if you are having the problem with SHOW_ATTRIBUTES set to false, then it is by-passing all of the attribute code, which is the big DB code changes that can cause performance issues. If you used 1.0 or 1.01 with out problems and it is new to 1.2/1.3 then I can narrow my search. If you have this problem with 1.0/1.01 then I can also narrow my search. Also do you know what type of server you are running on? How much memory it has, what processors it has, are you on a dedicated server or a shared server? Is your SQL server a localhost or do you have to point to a specfic server or web address? I would like to hear answers to all the questions here and the quoted message who are experience this performance issue with the report. The performance issue as I understand it is that you get a TIME OUT message at the default 10 days, and you have to keep reducing the days until it runs, and sometimes that is even 0 days being TODAY only. I will start looking at my changes, then move on to the tool as a whole, until I hear from someone about this with more details to help narrow my search. FYI .. I can't replicate this, and I have attributes for some of my products, but not alot. With attributes turned off in the tool I still have over 2200 products, and I have a large amount of abandoned carts.

What version of OSC are you using? Have you used version 1.0 before of RCS Tool? If 1.2 is your first try with this tool then try 1.0 and see if you have the same problems or if it is only with 1.2 and 1.3? Do you have the SHOW_ATTRIBUTES set to TRUE or FALSE? Also do you use Attributes with your products?

    Recover Cart Sales

Can you provide a screen shot and/or explain in more details? What version of OSC are you running, and what is your default language? Are you getting the Item numbers, dates, customer names, email address', phone numbers, or quanities? -Aalst

Recover Cart Sales v1.3 You can download it from here: Recover Cart Sales v1.3 or go to the Contribution Page. CHANGES Fixed error in Readme where I forgot a define. Optimized attribute code to speed up script Added SHOW_ATTRIBUTES configuration variable Added German Language files, provided by Matthias F.(webmaster@bodyfeelings.de) Added Spanish Language files, provided by Aalst(aalst@aalst.com), no promises on my Latin American Spanish translations. KNOWN ISSUES None at this time FUTURE PLANS Have item price reflect active attribute pricing Have item price reflect active specials Ability to sort by column headings Fix 'possible' bugs in report file Updating report to provide more information If you are having performance issues, please try this release. The attributes being displayed is turned off by default, if you are using attributes then please go into the Configuration area of recover_cart_sales.php and set SHOW_ATTRIBUTES to TRUE. As always please post any problems with 1.3 in this topic. -Aalst

    Recover Cart Sales

Then that is most likely related to the performance issue for the Attributes, that has hopifully been fixed with the version 1.3 that will be out within the next 30 minutes, me and Met00 are finializing a few last minute issues as I type. You either have a slow server, or short timeouts on your SQL server, or both. The attribute code has been optimized, and the attributes can be disabled now as well. When 1.3 is released please try it and see if it fixes the problem.

Kind regards, Raul I have the same problem with recover sales 1.2 displays nothing after long search unsold carts worked fine for me... recover sales> no errors just nothing displayed on page after search ie blank page after it goes to recover_cart_sales.php Make sure you are using the TOOL page and not the REPORT page of RCS Tool. The Report Page will show nothing untill you have started using the Tool Page and have actually recovered some sales.
