You replied to my plea for help much too quickly. (but thank you so much for doing so!) After I posted, I continued to look for the problem (I had already spent probably a good hour trying to figure it out.... ) Well, turns out to have been a problem with my FTP'ing. Somehow :-" I had managed to only upload the /catalog/ files, and not any of the ones in directories below. So weird results ensued, and totally my bad. Or, well, I'm blaming my FTP program. Thanks again for your very quick response.

Thank you for this contrib. I followed the manual instructions and replaced the code (version 2.00, and I followed the extra posts about what other changes to make, thanks for pointing them out)... but I seem to have made a mistake, and I don't know where to look for it. The instructions indicate that I should have green/red LEDs in the country listing. I don't. No countries seem to be selected ("country" selection is blank when a new user tries to register, although the asterisk is gone), but in my "State" pulldown there are the states of U.S. (which is what I wanted). I can't create any "zones" probably because I can't assign them to any country. Advice greatly appreciated.

I'm considering using this contribution, but I don't understand something in the readme: I have not used any register globals contribution in my shop. register_globals is "on" on my server. Can I still use this contribution? Thanks.

osCommece Credit Card payment module loophole?

Well, I learned something today. Apparently this is a known crack. http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=207589 http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=218671 There doesn't seem to be a programming fix for it.

Call for pricing / Request for Quote ?

I'm looking for suggestions. But, yeah, what you said sounds good. :) I might be asking for the moon here, I don't know.

osCommece Credit Card payment module loophole?

I am by no means an expert in this area, but it is possible that some of the code you are using is unsecure and relies on having register_globals set to on. register_globals allows uninitialized variables to be used, thus allowing unsecure coding. When this happens, someone who is familiar with the program you are using may be able to use a variable (such as "Did you enter a credit card number?") without that variable being validly set by your program. Read this for a better description: http://us3.php.net/manual/en/security.registerglobals.php I am not saying that this is what happened to you, but I recently learned about register_globals and this is the type of thing that can happen. There are a couple contributions that allow you to run osCommerce with register_globals set to off.
  7. The client has products he wants to sell online, and products he wants to showcase online but only sell via a sales contact/phone call. So, some of the products will have actual prices, and other products will be set to 0.00 for the price. I would like to be able to add both kinds of products to the shopping cart BUT: --I want custom text instead of $0.00 for the price. I've seen the "Call for Pricing" contrib, which I may go with but it doesn't seem to be exactly what I was hoping for: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ll+for+price%22 --I want the "Call for Pricing" products to be added to the shopping cart, if possible, right along with other products (if any) that they are buying. Similar to the RFQ contrib, http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...quest+for+quote, but again, not really sure it's what I'm looking for. I would appreciate any feedback, suggestions/advice, pointers to other contributions and/or forum threads. Thanks.
