    Filterlist v1

I'm getting the 1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_tax_class_id' in 'on clause' error since upgrading to Mysql 5. Works fine on SQL4 with no changes. Have read through and tried all suggestions in these posts to no avail. Has anyone got this to work on SQL5? Am using RC2a and have no problems anywhere else in the store - just when running a shop by price query using this contribution. Don't want to take it out as it would be a great contribution if I can get it to work on sql5 but don't know enough about sql to fix the queries..... Please help!

One other question: when you search a keyword that doesn't exist, the filter disappears and you have to choose 'back' in your browser to enter a different choice. What do we have to modify to keep it there after "no results" are returned?

How would this need to be modified to find only products that are on special? Has anyone done this and can help?

    [Development] Products Specifications

Am getting an SQL error when creating a product with attributes, adding specifications for that product and then using the "Copy To" feature (duplicate product) in admin/categories. The error is: 1054 - Unknown column 'specification_description_id' in 'field list' select specification_description_id, language_id, specification from products_specifications where products_id = 'xxx' Can't see any other posts about this problem on the forum so posting it in case it's not already on the bugs list. Would the fix be to change the SQL query to read from the specification_description table instead of the products_specification one? Or is there extra code required to pull other things as well to complete the product copy? (Just to be sure it wasn't because of my admin skin like the last error I reported, I double-checked the error on a clean install of rc2a with just product specs as the only mod. The error still occurred.)

The problem I was having with filter selections not showing up on the categories screen (and just displaying as a text box) turns out to be related to the admin skin contribution I had installed called mindsparx. Didn't think this would affect anything but it does! This uses a get variable called value which was interfering with your admin/product_specifications.php file. The fix was to rename the get variable from 'value' to 'svalue' and change all instances of $value and '&value=1' in your code to $svalue and '&svalue=1'. This fixed it nicely! Something you might want to build in to prevent people asking about it when it goes to general release and people start installing it on heavily modified stores..

On my setup, version 4.5.1 still doesn't allow the entry of multiple filter options on the categories screen because setting anything except 'text' for the 'enter specifications as' option on a filter still results in a text box being displayed on the catergories.php file. This means in a situation like entering clothing colours, you can't assign two possible values to a product (e.g. red and blue) because only a text box is displayed when editing the product in categories.php. Am setting the filter class for the clothing colours as multiple and tried enter specifications as pulldown, checkbox and radio buttons. it always shows a text box in categories.php no matter what is chosen for 'enter specifications as' so cannot assign two colour options to a product to show up in the filters. Apologies in advance if this is already on the bugs list. haven't seen anyone else raise this problem with 4.5.1 as it sounds like others are getting the view specifications as options to work? maybe i'm just doing something wrong? have posted in case this is a bug as i can't see it on the bugs list as open. Installation is unmodified test site on osc rc2a with php5.2 so no other modules interfering.

    NEW! Complete Order Editing Tool!

I've fixed the problem myself: it was because the order had free shipping - applied the free shipping bugfix (commenting out the shipping quote) and now it works fine, with ajax turned on too.

    NEW! Complete Order Editing Tool!

Has anyone found a solution to the admin logout when updating problem? I get it when updating attributes - get the message success with the login screen again. Logging back in shows the change was made successfully, but does anyone know why this happens and the solution? Have rc2a, SPPC, PHP5, quantity per attribute, gift vouchers, PWA and update with ajax turned on. Any ideas or a solution to the logout issue would be much appreciated.

Think I've found something else in the filters. I set up a filter group called clothing with two specifications colour and size inside it. Set the filter class to multiple, display as to pulldown, and enter specifications as multi pulldown. Link it to a category then when I then go into a product in admin in that category, no input fields show up at all. If I change it to text, the field shows up but then we can't enter multiple values. Is this a bug or something I'm doing wrong?

Am getting an SQL error in admin for 0.4.5 that I wasn't getting in the previous versions. The error is when creating a product specification group and then trying to edit, copy or delete it it. The error is: 1054 - Unknown column 'language_id' in 'where clause' select specification_filters_id from specification_filters where specifications_id = '1' and language_id = '' Looks like the specification filters table has been split into two tables in this version, but some of the sql still needs to be updated to reflect that. I can find queries that look like they would break by going into admin/product_specifications.php and searching for 'description'. References to description_query_raw call off the table TABLE_SPECIFICATIONS_FILTERS instead of one of the new ones. Tried changing the table reference to TABLE_SPECIFICATIONS_FILTERS_DESCRIPTION but this also broke the code because the field filter is no longer present.

    AJAX Attribute Manager support

Has anyone integrated this outstanding module with Single Pricing Per Customer (SPPC)? Am using the Ajax Attribute Manager with extra fields installed and it works great with every other module I've tried except this one. SPPC has major changes to code in the product attributes and categories php files in admin and I can't work out how to merge this module with SPPC. If anyone has managed to do this and can post how, it would be much appreciated.

    [Development] Products Specifications

Have installed 0.4.4 and am having some trouble testing the multiple options feature of the filters. Here's what we want to do: create two filters - colour and size and assign them to a series of clothing products so you can see the products that are available in the various colours and sizes. Each product may have multiple colours and sizes available. So we set up the two specifications clothing and size and assigned the filters to them. We chose multiple as the filter type as per your previous post. If a product has multiple colours how is this entered in the edit product screen? We have entered the various colours e.g. red and blue as 'red, blue' because we're not sure what to separate the various options with. Is this the right way to do it? No matter what we choose (even if there is only one colour assigned to a product), choosing anything from the filters on the front end returns no results. We've noticed in admin that at Group level "Filters in this Group" always says 0 no matter how many filters are defined (they all show up in the drop down on the front) and at Spec level "Filters on this Specification" always says 0. Does this mean that there is something that is not set up correctly or could this be indicative of a bug? In terms of feature ideas, when adding specs to products it would be great to be able to select/add specifications in a similar way to how the Ajax Attribute Manager contribution does its job. That's a fantastic contribution for attributes so something similar would be really good. The use of Ajax for filtering on the product listing pages without page refreshes would be great as well. When we can test the filtering we'll probably be able to suggest some other feature ideas as well.

    [Development] Products Specifications

A few more questions/possible bugs about filters: 1. In v0.4.2 we were able to approximate multiple specs on a product (e.g. multiple sizes, multiple colours) by using "like" as the search filter type. So if we had "Red, Blue, Black" as the colours in the product spec for colour, the "like" filter would return results for Red, Blue or Black on the front. It only didn't work when the filter choice was a subset of another filter choice (e.g. in sizes where "Large" would match "Large" and "Extra Large"). In version 0.4.3 this no longer works - has the way the "like" filter works been changed in v0.4.3 or is this a bug? Is there any way to approximate the multiple specs in this version at all? 2. When you create a copy of a specification group in admin, the group name and specs are copied, but any filters under them are not. If you had sizes of clothing with 20 filter options under each this means that creating copies you have to recreate the filter options every time. If that could be fixed/added as a feature in a future version that would be great. This mod is coming along great and we're following it with great interest.

Not sure if this is a bug or how it is meant to work. Products with specs only show when filtering by them if they have a Manufacturer attached to them. example: If I setup a product with spec attached called "Black" and search for this on the front the product does not show up. If I add a Manufacturer to the product it does show up on the filters when searching for Black. Some of my products dont have Manufacturers so I cant get them to show when filtering.

    [Development] Products Specifications

Version 0.4.2 is looking good! Have a quick question: is it possible for products to be assigned with multiple specifications. For example, setting up a specification called colour and then assigning a product to have both blue and black in admin? That way if a customer chooses either Black or Blue from the colour filter, the same product is returned?
