    Attribute Sets Plus

    I also went back to the original code and its works now, you can replace the original code whit this code if you would like to have them sorted in order by price first, alphabet second. Original: $products_options_query = tep_db_query("select pov.products_options_values_id, pov.products_options_values_name, pa.options_values_price, pa.price_prefix, pa.products_attributes_id from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES . " pa, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES . " pov where pa.products_id = '" . (int)$HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "' and pa.options_id = '" . (int)$products_options_name['products_options_id'] . "' and pa.options_values_id = pov.products_options_values_id and pov.language_id = '" . (int)$languages_id . "'); Replace with this to correct sort order $products_options_query = tep_db_query("select pov.products_options_values_id, pov.products_options_values_name, pa.options_values_price, pa.price_prefix, pa.products_attributes_id from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES . " pa, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES . " pov where pa.products_id = '" . (int)$HTTP_GET_VARS['products_id'] . "' and pa.options_id = '" . (int)$products_options_name['products_options_id'] . "' and pa.options_values_id = pov.products_options_values_id and pov.language_id = '" . (int)$languages_id . "'" . " order by pa.options_values_price, pa.products_attributes_id"); its works for me

A big problem with easypopulate !!

The product that has doubled check your osc admin panel to see what the model number is, then check your EP file to see the model number. If your model number is longer then 12 letters in the EP file it will get cut off when its uploaded to your store, so your admin is only going to show 12 letters. What happens is when you re-upload your product it is seeing a longer then 12 digit model number, which does not appear in the database because the existing file is only 12 digits, there for it creates a new product instead of overwriting the original. Verify your model numbers are shorter then 12 digits in your EP file, if they are only like say 5 digits long then this is not the problem, but if your model numbers are longer then 12 digits then I believe the above is what is happening. You can fix this by changing your products_model in your database to recognize more then 12 digits. Then you need to update easypopluate.php to the same as your database. The Stock easypopulate.php is set to 25 char, you can just change your datebase to 25 char, and try it like that.
  3. I have a question which i am hoping has been done before. I need more fields for products besides the stock Osc fields. I need a few extra text boxes smaller then product description something like 100 chars. i am sure i can add this in the database using phpmyadmin but how do i get it to appear in the admin panel, and how do i add this to easy populate as well. Any suggestions?

A big problem with easypopulate !!

i was having a similiar problem at first, i to think it was part of the model number issue, when i originaly did a test upload the server cut off half my model number because it was more then 12 chars, so when I did a second upload the model number looked different because the one on the server was 12 chars, and the new one was more then 12 so i think EP was not recognizing that i was uploading the same product. I would recommend changing your products_model table in your phpmyadmin to something like 25 chars instead of 12, then make sure your easypopulate.php file is adjusted accordingly to match. I really still don't know exactly what happens by changing the configure file in admin to $DOCUMENT_ROOT, i never did and my EP w/attributes seems to be working.

A big problem with easypopulate !!

i use easy populate and i didnt change anything in the admin/configure.php file mine still says define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/rogue/public_html/store/'); yours would look like define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/user/public_html/'); Now I could be wrong but mine is working the way it is. The work "user" in yours would probably not say user, like mine says rogue because thats the username i have with my host but any host could be different.
  6. I think I figured out why I couldnt edit items, for some reason i had my define_admin http server as https:// instead of http, so everthing was running on secure mode, i corrected this in my configuration and its working to edit products now. Also I may have figured out why my items duplicated, I never set up the products_model table to use more then 12 char, so when I would upload my products with long model numbers where being cut in half, so when I re-upload the full model number would seem different. So i corrected my products_model table to support 24 chars and changed EP accordingly we will see if this works.
  7. I am using unique model numbers but for some reason it won't overight it just creates two of the same product. I also dont know why i cant edit anything in the admin panel if I am using EP, anthing that I add manually in the admin panel works like normal, just the EP uploaded items wont edit.

A big problem with easypopulate !!

I think your admin/easypopulate.php file should say: $tempdir = DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . "/temp/"; Because your files are in the root folder of your server the "public_html" you don't have a directory called "catalog" when you first get OsC it is inside a directory called catalog, but if you did not upload the catalog folder, and only uploaded the files inside of it, then your root is just www.yoursite.com, instead of the normal, www.yoursite.com/catalog/. Try removing the reference to the /catalog/ because your temp folder is not inside of a catalog directory.
  9. I am just now starting to use easy populate, and maybe i did something wrong when i installed it, but the contribution works the problem is when I upload a bulk file of items, and say i forgot to put the right image path in my excel file, so i go to my osc admin panel and try to update that one item with the correct image path, I click preview and nothing happens i cannot update any items using the Osc admin if there uploaded using EP. Is it supposed to work like this? Also say i make the correction in the EP file and re-upload it, instead of it overwriting the old data it creates duplicates of everything, I am guessing this has something to do with the temp directory. Am i supposed to upload to the temp directory then install the items or something so they are permant?

A big problem with easypopulate !!

I am having issues that anything that was uploaded to my catalog using Easy Populate cannot be edited from the admin panel. Like if I made a mistake in the image code i can't just open it in the admin panel of osc and correct it I have to make a new EP file, upload it which creates a duplicate of the original item instead of overwriting it. Is there something I didnt set up correctly?
  11. I think I sorta figured this out, i did get it working, I saw that the all products functions were set in the Group "17" which was not visable, so I checked the configuration_group ID using an sql query I noticed all the things I normally see are set to a visable value of 1, and the All Products Id was set to a value of 2, so I changed it to 1 and walah there it is in the admin panel.
  12. ok I change the values in the first part of the code in the sql file, and it installed fine, well so I thought, after added the php files, and adding the code, i have a link on my index page in the catagories box, and in the information box. heres the issue, in the admin panel there is no on/off or any listing of all products under the configuration tab. First thought was something went wrong with the .sql file because there were no mods or php files added to the admin directory. Heres what I have in the second half of the code for the sql file INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added, use_function) VALUES ('','All Products: ON/OFF', 'ALL_PRODUCTS', 'false', 'All Products <br>(true=on false=off)', '17', '1', 'tep_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'), ', now(), NULL); INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added, use_function) VALUES ('','All Products: filename', 'ALL_PRODUCTS_FILENAME', 'allprods.php', 'All Products filename Default=allprods.php', '17', '2', '', now(), NULL); INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added, use_function) VALUES ('','All Products: Display Mode', 'ALL_PRODUCTS_DISPLAY_MODE', 'true', 'Display in standard table format <br>(true=on false=off)', '17', '3', 'tep_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'), ', now(), NULL); I noticed right off the bat, the first INSERT INTO at the end where is says VALUES ('','all products <---- right there i notice the first value is missing, the second line of code is the same right after values the first '' is missing a value, I didn't delete these, was this intentionally left blank or what, and if its supposed to have values what do I use, can I just use anything that isnt already being used in the table. I have a feeling I can't re-run the code or I am going to get duplicate errors for all the other values, is there a way to just write a snippet to go back in and fill in the two missing values
  13. For those the same boat I found the solution find this line to-froogle.txt"; $source_file = $OutFile; $imageURL = HTTP_SERVER.'/images/'; $productURL = HTTP_SERVER.'/product_info.php?products_id='; $already_sent = array(); and change it to to-froogle.txt"; $source_file = $OutFile; $imageURL = HTTP_SERVER.'/catalog/images/'; $productURL = HTTP_SERVER.'/catalog/product_info.php?products_id='; $already_sent = array(); This will change the image path and link path output so when you run the feed it will have the proper links if your directory is /catalog/ if your catalog file are not in a folder called /catalog, then you problably have your files in your root directory so changing this will only cause more errors this fix is only for people who have all there files in a catalog directory.
  14. could you tell what part of the file you edited to correct this, I to am having an issue because my files are not in the root directory they are in root/catalog so all my links and images are not showing because the feed file generates the links as the it was root/product_info. Where did you add the /catalog at in the file to get this to work.
  15. did you create a feeds folder in your root directory, and CHMOD it to 777
