  1. :) Hi the best place to try for answers to this are the official support thread for the contribution. If you do a search for it or check contribution support they should be able to help. Try seaching this, "Official PayPal IPN Support Thread" Dave
  2. :D Hi just back from the paypal developer site. The resolve to the verification of sandbox accounts was to change the phone number. If one has been used by another on the sandbox it appears that no one else can have it. Once the phone number was changed it validated the accounts. Hope this helps, I am working at present and will not be able to test the system until then. Regards Dave :sweating:
  3. :D Hi just to keep you updated I have posted a request upon the paypal forum, yesterday. I have not had any replies as yet, I will let you know if I have any positive help. :'( Dave
  4. :( Hi just back from trying to setup the sandbox for testing my paypal system. What fun trying to validate the accounts I setup a personal and a premier one. The fact that you cannot get the information auto infilled unless U.S. based makes it a pain. The sandbox appears to get stuck at validating a phone number as it is not appearing to recognise what you enter. I have read the contribution install sheet and the pdf manual from "Paypal" and tried to find the information upon their help forum to no avail, there must be an easier way. I will let you know if I find it. Dave
  5. Hello Glen I went the route of uploading each file from their respective folders, to the same position upon the server. Using "Filezilla" Clicked install and wham, it is there. Did the basic bits from the Read Me html, just now have to open the test account, then check my actual account and finally get the "SSL" loaded on the server. Thanks again, I may have gone over things twice but wanted to be careful, as it is to do with Money. Regards Dave
  6. Hello Glen thanks for the reply. I was just a bit off there and that has cleared that part for me. So if I now rename the catalog folder to "shop" and upload all of the contribution folder to my site I can then just click "Install" and follow the required prompts. Hope I have understood this, I do have an existing "PayPal" account. Many Thanks Dave
  7. Hi Terra :D thanks for the reply. So from what you have said I just copy the "EXT" file to the server and then run the install from the admin panel. No need to upload the other parts of the folder for the PayPal IPN V 1.3, just the "EXT" file. Sorry to be a bit of a pain just want to get it right. Regards Dave
  8. :D Hello setting up my store on a current version of "OSC" and have down load the current version of "oscommerce PayPal IPN V 1.3 Also read the install instructions and it has raised a few points, that I am sure are fairly straight forward. The install says to , "Note: Be sure to also copy the new "ext" directory to the catalog root directory" This is inside the new "catalog" folder in the download. I am assuming they do not mean to say take the "EXT" folder out of the catalog folder and place it in the root, (I am on a hosted service). Also my "catalog" is now called "shop", if I rename this contribution folder to suit mine. Will I have to rename any other parts of the files. And when it mentions, to delete the existing "PayPal" module from the admin, what is the prescribed method. As the modules section only lists "install", do I have to do it through the files section or go through "FTP" and remove the required sections. Thanks for looking Dave
