    Sort Products By Dropdown

All, Now sorted it myself by playing with the values in the array... This is the combination that worked for me. $sort_list = array('3d' => 'Best Sellers', '2a' => 'Products Name A to Z', '2d' => 'Products Name Z to A', '4a' => 'Price Low to High', '4d' => 'Price High to Low'); Cheers, Roy

    Sort Products By Dropdown

Hi all, I have installed this contribution but confused about the sorting. I have tried to set the drop-down values to the column numbers in my "Product Listing" settings put sortring by price always fails. Also, If I use the exact value for the "Product Name" it also goes wrong. Let me show you what I mean. Here are the setting from my Configutation: Product Recent Sales 4 Display Product Image 1 Display Product Manufaturer Name 1 Display Product Model 0 Display Product Name 1 Display Product Price 2 Display Product Quantity 0 Display Product Weight 0 Display Buy Now column 3 Display Category/Manufacturer Filter (0=disable; 1=enable) 1 Location of Prev/Next Navigation Bar (1-top, 2-bottom, 3-both) 3 So by following the documentation I should set the dropdown values as follows: $sort_list = array('4d' => 'Best Sellers', '1a' => 'Products Name A to Z', '1d' => 'Products Name Z to A', '2a' => 'Price Low to High', '2d' => 'Price High to Low'); If I do this, nothing sorts correctly. However: $sort_list = array('4d' => 'Best Sellers', '2a' => 'Products Name A to Z', '2d' => 'Products Name Z to A', '3a' => 'Price Low to High', '3d' => 'Price High to Low'); Sorts the product A-Z and Z-A correctly, but the pricing never sorts... To see this in action please click here. Try changing the sort order from the drop down. This is one of the very last things I need to do before launchng this site so any help would be appreciated... Cheers, Roy

    I Can't Sort By Price

Hi all, I'm using contribution 4312 - Sort By Dropdown http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4312 Hope someone can help. I'm having difficulty getting the sort price options to work. The sort by Name and Best Sellers work, but by price doesn't. I also appeared to get the SQL error I have seen here where no order fields were specified. I solved this by changing the "Product Recent Sales" value to 4, which was the last column and appears to match the "Product Listing" setting. However, I'll be damned if I can get the price sorting to work. Below are the values from my Admin/Config and the values in the $sort_list array. Any help would be appreciated. Product Recent Sales 4 Display Product Image 1 Display Product Manufaturer Name 1 Display Product Model 0 Display Product Name 1 Display Product Price 2 Display Product Quantity 0 Display Product Weight 0 Display Buy Now column 3 Display Category/Manufacturer Filter (0=disable; 1=enable) 1 Location of Prev/Next Navigation Bar (1-top, 2-bottom, 3-both) 3 $sort_list = array('4d' => 'Best Sellers', '2a' => 'Products Name A to Z', '2d' => 'Products Name Z to A', '3a' => 'Price Low to High', '3d' => 'Price High to Low'); Cheers, Roy

    TinyMCE

Sorted... After taking a step back I looked at my error log on cPanel and found a couple of files that hadn't been uploaded correctly as they were giving errors. After re-uploading the whole package, I can report that TinyMCE is working properly. Cheers, Roy

    TinyMCE

this is really starting to bug me now... There is no reason why this shouldn't work. I've even uploaded the examples that come with TinyMCE to http://www.essexdj.com/examples/ but I still can't get it to work. Any ideas at all...? Cheers, Roy

    TinyMCE

I have... It's not exactly difficult ;) I've even trimmed the TinyMCE init code down to bare minimum. I'm also using the latest TinyMCE which works when run locally. I can only think it's a path issue, but cutting the path out of the HTML source and putting it in the browser finds the .js file... I'm confused... Cheers, Roy

    TinyMCE

I've just added TinyMCE to my current shop development. I have placed the tiny_mce folder in my /admin/includes/javascript/ folder. I have added the following to my /admin/categories.php, /admin/mail.php and /admin/newsletters.php: <!-- TinyMCE --> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="includes/javascript/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> tinyMCE.init({ mode : "textareas" }); </script> <!-- TinyMCE --> This has been inserted immediately below the following line: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/stylesheet.css"> However when editing a product, creating and e-mail or a newsletter TinyMCE does not appear. I have tried samples locally and from their web site and know that it works on this PC and that Javascript enablement is not a problem. I've tried hard coding the path with /admin/ in front of the src="includes/..." but this has no effect either. Note: I do not have a catalog folder as my shop is in the root folder. TinyMCE should be a doddle to install. I've obviously misseed something. Has anybody esle experienced this? Cheers, Roy

    Subscribers

I've just taken over the running of an existing osC site. On importign the data I have come across a table called 'subscribers' which does not appear to be part of the standard database. Is this a contribution if so any idea under which category it would appear? Cheers, Roy

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

No IPN Payments In Sandbox This seems to be a recurring theme in this thread, but so far I have not found anything that seems to explain the reasons why... I am in the process of setting up my very first osC site with PayPal IPN and have downloaded and installed v2.2 of the contribution. I have set up the test acount in my PayPal sandbox and the module appears to let the payment through with no problem. There are no error messages, the user is returned to the site as expected and order process e-mails flow happily to the user, but yet there are no payments arriving in my sandbox account? I've gone through every order staus including "Preparing [PayPal IPN]" expecting an event somewhere to trigger the payment to PayPal, but still nothing. Even adding a debug e-mail address doesn't do anything. No e-mail arrives there either so one would assume that there is no problem with the order. I've tried turning on the IPN settings in the PayPal profile and adding the full URL, but that has no effect either. Does the module in "test" mode actually talk to the Sandbox or is it simply nulling the orders? Is there a log on the osC database that logs the responses back from Paypal IPN? I have no way of knowing whether this is working or not. How do I intercept? How do I know that a payment is being processed without trying it live and incurring cost? Isn't that what the Sandbox is all about? I'm about to e-mail my host to see if there is anything specific (ie proxy) I need to set up as this is the only thing left I can think of. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Roy
