    Actual Attribute Price V1.0

Hey. You hit on one of my pet peeves ("cheers" and "regards" at the end of posts), but I'll reply nevertheless! Okay, here's my deal with AAP. I couldn't understand your post (too long). Anyway, if I had just 1 single set of attributes on a page, it would work fine. If I had multiple attributes on a page, well, let's say the base price of that product was $600. If I purchased an attribute that was $400, the shopping cart price would say "$-200". Never put prefixes with your AAP; that's the point! THe point is to get rid of those weird prefixes. Anyway, I noticed on the products with multiple (more than 1) attributes where the price total wasn't right, if I set the base price to 0 in my admin / catalog / products description page, then they would calculate just fine. So that's what I did! I set them to 0. Then they worked. Then I installed The Hide if Price = 0 Contribution. This way, my products didn't show a price at the top of the page, but when the end user scrolls down, they see the various options: $400, $600, $750, $1000. If you need any help with this or if this sounds like it might be your solution, send me an e-mail or Yahoo Messenger me (please don't send me a private message on here), and perhaps I can help. Good luck!

    Actual Attribute Price V1.0

You have to amend catalog/includes/classes/order.php, not shopping_cart.php. You're looking at the wrong file.

    Actual Attribute Price V1.0

I don't put two questions in one post, so here's another. In the product_info page, it displays my attributes like this: 2 feet($36.00) 4 feet($77.00) 6 feet($113.00) 8 feet($150.00) I'd like to display the product attributes like this: 2 feet ($36.00) 4 feet ($77.00) 6 feet ($113.00) 8 feet ($150.00) Anyone know how I can get that space in between the attribute and the price? Thanks all.

    Actual Attribute Price V1.0

I installed the order.php fix, and my checkout now works fine. But the shipping cart subtotal still says whatever the base price for the product is., For instance, if I have a product with a base price of 36, and the next size up is 77, it displays nicely now (without the prefix). I like that. Checkout is nice; if they choose the larger option, checkout says 77, and the shipping is added in ... perfect. But the shopping cart still says 36. If you go to shopping_cart.php it shows the large option for 77 dollars in the cart, and beneath that, it says "Sub Total: $36.00' ..... but above that it says $77. Does anyone have a solution to this? It'd be highly appreciated. Thanks ....
  5. Hello. I have 2.5.9 installed fine. But I do need German. So I downloaded 2.5.9.1, which is the exact same contribution, same files, instructions, same install, etc., but it includes the German language header tag files. I uploaded all the German header tags files to the german folders, etc., and everything works ... index page, categories, login, create account, privacy statement, etc.. The only thing that doesn't work is when I actually go to an actual product. Then the page cannot be displayed/found. Anyone know what I did wrong, or what I can do? Thanks for any suggestions in advance!
  6. Hello. They all are ranging from about 10 pounds to 125 or so pounds. I'll be shipping mostly around here in the United States, and to Europe, and to Mexico a little bit. If I go to UPS.com, there are 2 solutions they recommend: CorrectShip and UPS Ready Program. Should I sign up for one of these, or is there an OSC contribution that I could install for better results? My goal is to incorporate shipping right into the pricing on the website during the checkout process, but being a PHP Newb in the final stages of implementing my OSC, I'm kinda clueless on how to set up shipping. Can anyone offer me some guidance in this regard? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks, J

    Quantity Price Breaks

    This is my code for the snippet you have; looks to be the same, and mine works just fine: <td class="main" align="right"> <table border="0" align="right"> <tr><td align="center"> <?php echo TEXT_ENTER_QUANTITY . ":" . tep_draw_input_field('cart_quantity', $pf->adjustQty(1), 'size="6"'); ?> </td></tr> <tr><td align="center"> <?php echo tep_draw_hidden_field('products_id', $product_info['products_id']) . tep_image_submit('button_in_cart.gif', IMAGE_BUTTON_IN_CART); ?> </td></tr> </table> J

Can you paste the snippet of code we're talking about here? I'll compare it to mine and see if I can help. J

Hah! Think I got it, Jan. If you're still around, does that look better? Is that how it's supposed to look? http://www.thevisiondepot.com/catalog/prod...54c0b10447642d4 Thank you so much for bearing with me, Jan. I hope this finally did it! Jason

    Quantity Price Breaks

hi Jan. I downloaded what you told me to, and installed it, and .... no errors! Well, not yet. The admin side of things look good. I go to the one page where I instituted a price break, and, well, right now, I have it set up so the price of the mount is $199, but if you buy 3 of 'em, it goes down to $169. Price=$199 So ... quantity blocks: 1 price break level 1: $169 Qty: 3 When I go to that product's page, however, http://www.thevisiondepot.com/catalog/prod...54c0b10447642d4 .... well, I don't see a price quantity break. Maybe I have to type it in there manually? Also, I can't add more than 2 things to my cart right nwo. If I try to add 3 things, well, it won't accept. Ugh! Well, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I think I'll get there. I'll just google search and search the forums here. But if you have any suggestions, I'd be more than willing to listen. Thanks a lot Jan, Jason

Need a quick 1-2-3 setting up a payment system

Thank you very much, Jack. You finally set it straight for me. I already ordered the SSL Cert from my host, and Im' going to the Paypal Site right now, and I won't be using Paypal Pro. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to end this confusion for me! Jason
  14. Hello. My OSC is coming along great; I'm a PHP newbie and still, the 4 contributions are installed and working fine. Now it's payment time -- it's why we make these sites, isn't it? Well, does anyone have a quick 1-2-3 on how to do this? Call Paypal and purchase an account with them? Then download the contribution, follow the instructions, and install the module? Then I'm all set to go? What's SSL and API? That's all that needs to be answered. Only read more if you're interested! Thank you! J ----------------------------------- Just in case this helps, I'm with a host, on their Linux server, and here's what the host says: Payment Gateways: PayPal, TrueCommerce, PSiGate, SecPay, iPayment, Authorize.net and 2-Checkout And here's what my host says about "SSL" -- this is ALL Greek to me; no idea what it means: Shared SSL paths (On our servers) For Linux-hosted web sites: https://servername.domainnameservers.net/~u...me/filename.htm Your Own SSL Path Installation and IP Cost: $40 setup and $5.00 per month These charges do not include the cost for the actual signed key. You will need to pay the certificate signer directly. How do I get my own? Contact Buzix Billing at x703 to pay the setup fee. Buzix will generate the CSR and send it to you via email. You'll give this to the certificate signer (see below) and they will send you a key. You'll give us the key and we will install it for you. Certificate Signers: Buzix Customers can order an SSL Certificate for just $49.95 a year. If you already have a domain purchasing account, click the SSL Certificate tab at the top of the page. Click here to log in now! More SSL options are available from Thawte and VeriSign. If you made it this far, thanks for taking the time to read this. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated! I really just need the simple 1-2-3 and I'll figure the rest out on my own. Thanks!!!! J
  15. Hello. I installed CCC / custom computer creator, even though I'm not selling computers -- I'm selling something completely different. I want customers to be able to design their own mounts, based on the variables I give 'em. I installed everything just the way it said, and I can see it ... it looks okay, no errors. But when I add a product, it doesn't have a drop down list of things to choose from, or any place I can put radios, or pull down menus, etc. I triple checked to make sure I uploaded all the admin files properly, and I did, but I'm at a loss. Basically I can't add a product in my admin, and I can't find any support (here or on google) that explains how to do it step by step. Any help would be greatly appreciated! J

I can't add products in CCC

I now installed Custom PC Creator, and that's another one that just doesn't work. Custom Computer Creator is okay if you already have the products installed into the admin categories. But you can't add intangibles and attributes. Custom PC Creator has the right idea, but that doesn't really work either. Both are good efforts, but both fell short. I'll let you know if I find a solution like the one you showed me -- 'cause that's what I'd like also. Keep each other posted, J

    Custom Computer Creator v9 Support

Well, I mean, I can add a product from the list of products I have, and that's fine. But I can't add attributes to that product (like number of holes, size of holes, etc., on my mounts). Any ideas?

    Custom Computer Creator v9 Support

I installed CCC, and I am almost positive I did it correctly, especially on the admin side of things, but I can't seem to add a product -- just categories from within my admin tool. J

    File Upload issues

Sorry about this ... I figured both issues out on my own, just tinkering around with things. Everything's working well now. Thanks anyway, J

    File Upload issues

Hello all. I downloaded and installed the file upload contribution. Executed the SQL statements, tables created, everything went according to plan -- uploaded things, manually altered configure.php the way they said in the instructions ..... So far, it's good ... My goal is to have a radio button option, text option, and file upload option. From the admin side, when I'm in my admin tool, let's say, under product options, I create: option name: Number of holes option type: radio When I go down to product attributes, I find the product name, and apply the option name and option type I created. But for radios, it's like ... you can only choose one option value. I want them to be able to select 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, but you can only select one option value. Does that make sense? I added all these option values. But when I go to impliment this in the product attributes, I can't select more than one value. Consequently, an end-user sees only 1 of the 5 options I want them to be able to click. The other issue I'm having is instead of a TEXT option, I'd like a TEXTAREA option so they can describe the product they wanna purchase, but that's secondary right now, and I probably shouldn't even have mentioned it in this post. I'm trying to solve the radio button problem! Hope this makes sense. Anyone who can help, it'd be greatly appreciated, J
