  1. I have fixed the problem described below & as I expected, the problem was caused by my own mistake. My "catalog" is not in the root directory & therefore I followed the first part in Step #6 of the documentation. Here, it indicates that you are to edit the .htaccess file in your catalog & replace "directory" to match your directory (or "catalog") file name. This is where I made the mistake. I didn't substitute the word "directory" for my catalog name. I simply added in the code: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /directory/ RewriteRule ^(.*)-p-(.*).html$ product_info.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-c-(.*).html$ index.php?cPath=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-m-(.*).html$ index.php?manufacturers_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-pi-(.*).html$ popup_image.php?pID=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-t-(.*).html$ articles.php?tPath=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-a-(.*).html$ article_info.php?articles_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-pr-(.*).html$ product_reviews.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-pri-(.*).html$ product_reviews_info.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-i-(.*).html$ information.php?info_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} Once I had figured out that I had made this mistake & changed the word "directory" to the correct path of my catalog, it worked perfectly.
  2. After reading, reading & more reading (I am really learning a lot! & probably more than I want to at times but anyway) & having posted a question several days ago, I remain stuck with the inability to get this what I am sure is a wonderful contrib to work. I have changed the code for the need_redirect function to the one supplied by stonebridgecomputing on May 12 & it didn't fix the problem. I have also replaced the seo.classes.php file to the one supplied by edgecrush3r on May 9, 2006. I looked at version 2.1d however, it doesn't supply the functionality with Links Manager which I have. I have also tried to turn off & on various options in Ultimate SEO but this doesn't make any difference either. Still the redirect doesn't work. For example, with Ultimate SEO turned off, when you click on a category link, gates for example, you are directed to the page http://custom-farmnet.com/oscommerce/index.php/cpath/22 - which is the page with the farm gates on it. With Ultimate SEO turned on, when you click on a category link, taking the same category of gates again, you are directed to http://custom-farmnet.com/oscommerce/gates-c-22.html - which doesn't exist & you get a "page cannot be found" error message. Has anyone else run into this same problem & been able to fix it? Any, any help would be wonderful!
  3. Dear Eric: Thank you for your e-mail. The Ultimate SEO URLs contrib I originally installed was v2.2 (April 8, 2006). I have replaced the seo.class.php file in the catalog/includes/classes directory with the May 9th redirection &Param= seo.class.php file courtesy of edgecrush3r (thank you for this!) however, it didn't help my redirection issues. With the following settings SEO URLs Title Value Action Enable SEO URLs? true Add cPath to product URLs? true Add category parent to begining of URLs? true Filter Short Words 3 Enable SEO cache to save queries? true Enable product cache? true Enable categories cache? true Enable manufacturers cache? true Enable articles cache? true Enable topics cache? true Enable information cache? true Enable link directory cache? true Enable automatic redirects? false Choose URL Rewrite Type Rewrite Enter special character conversions Remove all non-alphanumeric characters? false Reset SEO URLs Cache false Clicking on the Category Round Pens sends you to http://custom-farmnet.com/oscommerce/round-pens-c-21.html - which is a non-existent page. I tried turning off & on the automatic redirects but it didn't make any difference. With Ultimate SEO turned off, clicking on the round pens category sends you to http://custom-farmnet.com/oscommerce/index.php/cPath/21 - which is the list of the various round pens available. With this contrib turned off, you can navigate throughout the site correctly. I see that shawnm indicates that there is an alternative v2.1d but I can't find this one. Does anyone know where I can find it? Has anyone run into this redirection problem & been able to fix it?
  4. Dear David: Thank you for your reply. I did approve all 3 of the links that I have put in although none of them will do a sucessfull reciprocating link check. All 3 of the websites that I have put a link for do have my website on their page however, the link check fails. One of the websites is one that I manage & I know the link is there & the other 2 I can see when I go to their website although the other sites have them further into their site. Do you know if the link check has to pass for them to show on the store page even though you have listed them as approved under link admin? "Modom" on May 7th indicates that a new sql file was posted however I cannot find it. In reading the posts from Modom I am unsure which file was changed because in the fresh install an sql file isn't run. I have rechecked the installation files & they all seem to be fine. Everything seems to be working fine on related to being able to put links in, I have 3 categories put in, images upload & I have tried making each of the 3 links as waiting & then as approved but nothing I do makes the links appear on the store page. Does anyone have any ideas to get the links to appear? Modom had indicated to pay particular attention to the Links Check Phrase however, I can't find the file she is referring to. In the links_setup.php file their is the statement array("INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added) VALUES ('Links Check Phrase', 'LINKS_CHECK_PHRASE', '" . $HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SERVER_NAME'] . "', 'Phrase to look for, when you perform a link check.', '" . $configuration_group_id . "', '17', now())"), The above phrase appears to be the coding for Links Check Phrase in Configuration, Links & in this section I have placed http://www.custom-farmnet.com Any help would be so gratefully appreciated!
  5. Hopefully this will be a quick fix. I have run out of ideas. Yesterday I installed Ultimate SEO URLs & have it disabled because with it on, when you click on one of the cateogries you get sent to a non-displayable page. Today, I installed Links Manager for OSC & all the link sections in the admin page show up, you can add links, etc. however, there are no links displayed on the website. I cannot figure out what I have done/not done to get the links to show up on the homepage. I had the Fixed Width With CSS2 contrib installed & have even taken that off to see if by limiting the page width I was keeping the links from showing up. Even without the fixed page width the links still don't show up. I have put the fixed page width back on. Has anyone else had this same problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? The website is http://www.custom-farmnet.com Any help would be most gratefully appreciated!
  6. Today, I installed Ultimate SEO URLs. Thank you in advance for this contrib! I am having what is hopefully a small problem that can easily be fixed. I have read & reread previous posts but have not been able to ascertain how to fix this problem. With Ultimate SEO URL enabled, when you click on one of the categories you get the error message "HTTP 404 - File not found". For example: With Ultimate SEO URLs enabled the link for the hardware category takes you to http://custom-farmnet.com/oscommerce/hardware-c-1.html With Ultimate SEO URLs disabled the link for the hardware category takes you to http://custom-farmnet.com/oscommerce/index.php/cPath/1 With Ultimate SEO URL disabled, all categories & products display fine. However, with it turned on, none of the categories or products will display. I left all the settings in the Ultimate SEO URL configuration in their default setting. I did try to disable automatic redirects (by default it is set to true) however, this didn't seem to make any difference. Has anyone else had this problem & been able to fix it? Thank you in advance for your help!
  7. I have replaced the categories.php file with the original OSCommerce categories.php file & everything works fine as it had done before I replaced it with the categories.php file from the MorePics's admin/categories.php file. I am still trying to figure out how to put the additional pictures in to each product given that replaceing the categories.php file with the one that was in the contrib admin/categories.php gave an error message. Any ideas please?
  8. Thank you for your reply. I copied the catalog.php under the contrib admin folder to the admin folder of the store & got the following error message: $contents[] = array('text' => ' ' . tep_info_image($pInfo->products_subimage6, $pInfo->products_name, SMALL_IMAGE_WIDTH, SMALL_IMAGE_HEIGHT) . ' ' . $pInfo->products_subimage6); // EOF: More Pics 6 $contents[] = array('text' => ' ' . TEXT_PRODUCTS_PRICE_INFO . ' ' . $currencies->format($pInfo->products_price) . ' ' . 9. I am sure that I have not done something I should have but I don't see anything more in the directions to do so I'm stuck (sorry!). I am new to OSCommerce. I installed More_Pics_6 for 2.2 ms2 & I do have More Pics under Configuration & the values are changeable however, I don't see where I can add the additional images for each product. I have not installed any other contribs besides this one. Could someone please help me to figure out what else I need to do to get this to work?
