well guys the release is just about upon us, i have sent one test version to be looked at and i am going to fiddle through it and see if i can find some issues, to let everyone know beforehand, there is not a readme.txt in this release, i have made it a readme.htm and it includes javascript so you may want to enable your javascript so you can get all the directions for installing this contribution. tell you some of the features that stand out in this one:
1.the ability to add and remove as many options as you want (ex. motherboard, processor, firewire).
2.there are now prebuilt systems in this version.
3.all invoice and order details now include information about the build.
4.support for templates for the description of a prebuilt pc.
5.add and remove seperate products instead of full categories.
6.edit select information about products added to the creator.
7.NO more pictures in the configuration area (sorry but it makes it faster).
8.multiple bus speeds (easlily add more in later releases).
9.ablilty to see prebuilt systems waiting to be built.
10.thats all that really stands out.
hope i got you excited now, this version has been 6 months in the making, i know i am excited about seeing what you guys think.
till later,
Stephen

in the custom_checkout.php on line 50 the code says language_id => 1
change the 1 to (int)$languages_id, that should fix it.
-
because the product is added to the database under the language id of 1 which is english, the solution is actually simple, i will go ahead and fix it.
-
i took out the option to add full categories and to use the osc database as it was creating problems for most people, now you can edit the prices and products in the ccc database but it doesn't update from changes to products in osc's database. maybe in a later release.
-
no but i will add part numbers in it somewhere.
-
i am also going to try to make an installer so little or no coding will have to be done by anyone.
-
havent seen many if any bugs right now, just have a few things i haven't put in yet, and i need to write a how to on this contribution, because it has gotten to be much larger with more options than i thought it ever would.
-
quick update guys, take a look at my new features added to the computer creator at http://www.snjcomputers.com/admin still a few little things to work on but just to show you the direction i am taking it
-
i am hopeing that from no responses, means no errors
-
ko i believe i fixed the shopping cart issue, let me know if you see anything else.
-
oh i almost forgot i changed the file location to:
-
i just added prebuilt systems, i am looking for a way to simplify the product adding to categories, category selection, and all the confusing things, but with alot of options comes alot of confusion, guess i will have to write a tutorial on how to use it. i have been through it and haven't seen any errors, let me know if any of you spot any.
-
ok guys play with it and let me know any problems/ideas.
-
i am getting close to being done with the reprogramming of this mod, when i release it, it will be strictly beta for testing only, unitl i get whatever bugs worked out of it.
-
i apoligize cc it shuold be http://www.snjcomputers.com/intel.htm
also nevermind the layout i am working on templates for our hosting server
-
it works, just don't have any products for any of them except amd 100 fsb
-
hey guys a little insight into what i am working on:
Admin Area For Adding Products
User Interface For Selecting Build Type And Speed
these are not releasable areas, YET, just letting you see where i am at and get some suggestions maybe.
-
the main reason this mod has had alot of problems is my fault, i have been careless in putting everything in the contribution file, as i have had every version working completly with my osc, this last one has been a big jump and i have learned alot about some functions, i will continue to work on it, if you would like to see my new idea, go to http://www.snjcomputers.com/intel.htm , this is an idea i am working on getting done, i have the base down for it just have a few things i have to add and change.
-
check and see if your 22nd selection is set to required and hidden, because that will cause the error that is happening to your ccc. and cc are you not using it because you don't deal in computers or just don't like the contribution? because if not many people like it i am going to stop working on it and think of another contribution to make.
-
well guys, with all the problems i am going to make the contribution a stand alone, meaning i will make it almost like its own cart except for the admin area, i am going to polish it up alot, but when i get this done you should be able to link to it and everything will run almost independant of osc cart, hopefully that will stop some problems. sorry i have been so slow with responces but i have been trying to get my hosting company running and it has been taking alot of time, but i haven't forgotten about you guys who are needing this contribution working, i am also thinking about possibly putting a template to this if some of you guys can give me ideas on layouts or what parts would be best to have the ability to change around a little let me know.
-
i have set up a little demo at http://www.snjcomputers.com/admin this is for demo purposes, please don't misuse it or i will have to take it down, but you can see what i hope is a working version of what i have so far, play with it and let me know

and for the java script problem with the pictures
New Java File rename the file to java.php. don't try to unzip it, won't work, and replace your java file
-
Another problem I am having apart from the product pictures not displaying is that when I click Pending Builds (Admin>Custom Computer), then click on the customer name, all the information I have is 1x Custom Computer and the price. No details on the parts selected. However it does show up on the customer side when going to order history. Any why to fix this?
did you replace the orders.php with the one in the file, or insert the code that is in the readme for the orders.php
-
if i am understanding correctly i had it that way and people complained that they couldn't choose certian products for the builds so i changed it.

try storing the template value in the database and call it from there in the application_top.php then you can use it through the site as
value['template']
