It seems lately my IPN is not adding the quantity discount from the order totals...I'm using the latest version of IPN and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do. I've set up the IPN to have the aggregrate function on.... Any ideas? FK

Are you guys all having problems with the module for Worldpay? I'm very close to signing up with them but if the module doesn't work than I'm not going to spend my hard earned $$ to find out it won't work with OSC.

Yeah I'm leaning towards world pay for the name bran recognition and am hoping that if I sign up with them I will be able to increase my sales. I tried this search and learned a lot about why this type of service can certainly increase or help my business. I like the fact that when they get to the payment gateway it only asks for a credit card number and that way there is no confusion. Also it seems their fraud section is superior to paypal.... I guess you pay for what you get right? Check this out from a good search I did: PAYPAL VS WORLDPAY Time after time I get the same message about paypal from people... I don't have a paypal account (even though you don't need one), it keeps showing errors when I get to their page and other many other things like that. I'm based from Japan and they have quoted on their homepage that I would get a rate of 4.9% per transaction. But from what others have said it seems I can maybe get lower rates after I've been with them for a while... Is this true? At the moment I'd say I'm doing around 7-10K a month in sales so I'm wondering if this is considered a good quantity of sales for some leverage of a deal perhaps?

You're right.... I hope! I just got my first reply today and they have now asked for the invoice for shipping which of course I'm able to provide! It's just when you put chargeback+paypal in google you get all these horror stories and now I'm starting to doubt how safe paypal really is? Ok this week I had a charge back after 2 months of the product sent out and it was a big one.... it was for about $1,000 US and he's a scammer from Hong Kong. I know this because after putting his name in Google and came up red lights all the way. His address matched paypals and in my site with the IPN information. Paypal processed the credit and nothing was showing it as being a bad credit card. It was shipped via EMS with all the tracking numbers and proper insurance... well here we are 2 months later and I now have to fight to get my money back. What a nightmare this is going to be because from what I've read I won't be getting my money back and Payapl is famous for stiffing us merchants, just go to www.paypalsucks.com and read the forums and horror stories! I think their customer support really sucks and already after 4 days of faxs and emails I've had no response from them. I want a better solution for accepting credit cards with great customer support and I'm willing to pay extra for these services!!! One thing you should know is I'm based from Japan and don't have a US bank account. So I need a provider who can accept international accounts. I'm having strange problems with this contrib...it's working on my site but it's only showing one product in the main index even though I have selected 6 or so. On the right info box I have the featured section working fine with alll 6 products showing up right. Why won't the index section not work right? Thanks, Nigel

GOT IT!!! Basically we have to change our settings in our CONFIG.PHP file... Go to your includes/config file, before change your permissions to 777 so it'll write correctly. Look for this section: define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/public_html/'); define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/'); define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/'); Try changning /public_html/ in the first file to /home/XXXXX/public_html/ and it should work after that.... Make sure after you have edited your config file to set the permissions back to what you had them at. I knew it was a persmission error after searching what the error was. Support was from Blue Host forum Hope this works for others now....

Ok it's gotta be some sort of wrong path of some sort in the kampanya.php file. My server is now producing a XML file but it's in the main www folder and it looks like this: http://www.tsurishopjapan.com/dir_fs_catal...geskampanya.xml How do we get this to write it in the images folder correctly? Yes the images folder is set to 777. FK

We all have this problem it seems and nobody can solve the problem...if you look I even took a screen shot picture of what the problem looks like. It seems to be working for some but others it won't work. Symptoms are the error message, a white screen or just plain old blank. Hopefully someone can figure out why this won't work as an advertised 2 minute install :rolleyes: Obviously it doesn't work if many of us can't install right, I mean really hard was this one to do? Add 4 files, set permissions and add a twibit of code to your index or wherever??? How do we get this to work?

I'm absolutely lost on what to do... I even had a coder from BLUE HOST look at it for 30 minutes and they have no idea why it won't work. I think after 3 hours of trying to get this going I give up... I guess it works for some and others it won't ever work. I mean really how hard is this contrib? Add 5 files to your main index, set permissions to 777 in your images folder and add a small snipet of code to where ever you want it to display.... but to no avail. FK

ok maybe we're getting somewhere now....thanks for your input guys. Well I deleted the xml file that I made in the images folder and added the code to my index to see if it would work but got the same error. I also checked to see if it's making the xml file but nothing is in there. The images folder is set to 777!! Does is it matter where I put the Carousel in the index, what I mean is can I put it on the top, near the bottom or in the middle with just this code? <?php include("kampanya.php"); ?> FK

so no return messages about our problems great!! Again I'll explain everything what was done to make sure it's understood how I did everything to solve the prolem. Uploaded all the files in the CATALOG folder to my sites main public html folder (this is where my site is installed) Made a file called kampanya.xml and set permissions to 777 including the images folder. Also uploaded the folder fla source to the main index area too. Ok so that's correct right? Then I added the code in various forms to my index: <td class="main" align="center"><?php include("kampanya.php"); ?></td> or <?php include("kampanya.php"); ?> and after that I get this error Ok I hope more info like this will solve my issue. I've installed over 50+ mods on my site and once and while I get stuck like this.... FK

I'm getting the same errors like others.... I made a kampanya.xml file in my images folder. Made that file a permission of 777 along with the whole image folder. Next uploaded all the files that were in the CATALOG folder and the other flash folder too....put the code in my index to display it and all I get is a white screen withe error message. How do I get this to work? There hasn't been a clear fix to this considering many others are having the same error. Nigel

No thanks I'm not deleting them one at time... This contrib did it!!! I'll post a link so others who were wanting the same help here can follow this link: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/3749 Basically it's pretty cool. In your orders page down below you'll see all the selectors like when you click on your order. Then you can select all and perform many actions like DELETE, processing, delivered etc etc. Also you type a message and hit NOTIFY CUSTOMER, this will surely speed up things!! Also you if you want to use the delete function make sure to turn it on in the languages file. ADMIN/INCLUDES/LANGUAGES/ENGLISH/ORDERS.PHP.... and look for this define('BUS_ENABLE_DELETE',1); // Set to 1 to enable delete option, 0 to remove it Ok well that's it and hope this was useful for others.... I guess I shouldn't of let it go for this long but I have some customers who keep trying to do orders over and over again. There really should just be a tick box next to all the orders then a select all to delete them in one she-bang. That way we don't have to select the order, press delete, confirm, then do it again. A new suggestion perhaps for orders.php file? Maybe there's a contrib already for the orders.php file? Nigel

I gotta say my Paypal IPN has been working prefectly for months now...phew! Or has it? I hav a smaller minor issue. How do I delete 100 PREPARING PAYPAL IPN orders in one BANG? I don't want to do them manually because well this will take a long time to do. These are orders that people have never finished or completed so I want to get rid of them so when customers actually want me to check their order I can easily find it. I've been neglecting this area I know..... Nigel

OK now I have 100 orders in PREPARING PAYPAL IPN... some of my customers have 10-12 orders showing in there in history and they're telling me that I can delete those. This is crazy... is there a way where I can select all of these orders and just delete them in one BANG? Can I go into the SQL and just do it there somehow? Nigel

My store is getting busy as heck and I have so many customers now building their carts then logging off, then I'm getting a build up of Preparing Paypal IPN orders. How can I delete over 80 of these without having to it manually? Thanks, Nigel
