    Header Tags SEO

Hi Jack, thanks! That finally made the penny drop...... I was confusing "Header Tags Categories Description" with the "Header Tags Category Description". Thanks again for all your hard work in producing these contributions and then the mammoth task of supporting them.

    Header Tags SEO

Hi Jack another excellent contribution thanks! I've just upgraded from HTC 2.6.2 to the new SEO v3.1.0 and have a quick question please. Everything is working great and the manufacturer and category names are being added to the meta tags but is there a way to add the long text for the "descriptions" to the meta tags as well?

    Dynamic SiteMap

A quick reminder for anyone getting the following error message on their Dynamic Sitemap page after updating to the the latest version of HTC: Remeber to go into catalog/includes/modules/dynamic_sitemap.php and add the line: strpos($file, 'header_tags') !== FALSE || Hope it saves someone else a bit of head scratching...... P.S. Thanks again for the contribs Jack !
  5. For anyone else with a similar issue I have found a fix for the first half with an excellent piece of coding from Boxtel back on page 64 at post #1265: Boxtel's Code Just insert this into application_top.php beneath: // Ultimate SEO URLs v2.1 include_once(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'seo.class.php'); if ( !is_object($seo_urls) ){ $seo_urls = new SEO_URL($languages_id); } (that was at line 301 for me) Could just do with some help/guidance on the second half now...
  6. I'm using v2.1d and my shop was up and running in all 3 default languages and had been spidered by all the search engines. However, to reduce the admin overhead I decided to run it only in english, so I've dropped the spanish and german. However, I'm still getting hits (mainly from the search engines) on URL's such as: /shop/ambre-solaire-apres-sonnen-150ml-p-95.html /shop/piz-buin-m-14.html?sort=3a&page=1&language=es Obviously as only the english pages now exist, these URL's are returning a result code of "200 OK" and the content from the english pages. I'm going to end up with one hell of a duplicate content penalty! Anyone know how to return a 301/404 for these URL's?

    Protx Direct v2.22

Hi Tom, You're right on the money as usual ! Although Protx had said it was all set up, they have now come back and said that Natwest Streamline are still testing 3D Secure with Protx and expect to get it signed off within the next couple of months. So it looks like Natwest Streamline may not be up and running until May time (although you think you have turned 3D Secure on in your Protx Account parameters). Thanks again. Bob

    Protx Direct v2.22

Am I too tired and missing something?????? I've just updated from v2.4 to v3.0c. Everything works ok in Simulator and Test modes (i.e. I'm getting sent to the 3D Screen) but when I go to Production my "live card tests" are just getting authorised as normal from the customer perspective. However, when I log into my VSP admin I can see the message: The initial authentication request returned an ERROR. No 3D-Authentication occurred! Please e-mail support@protx.com to inform us of this error. I have informed Protx who have said: The site is not redirecting the customer to the 3D Secure pages because you are using VSP Direct, this means your developer will need to ensure that the ************* system passes the customer to the 3D Secure pages. Full instructions for doing this can be located in the Intergration Guide this can be found on the URL bellow. I have 3D Secure "ON" and have checked the upgrade again. (I've even amended the 16 to 32 INT length for vendortxcode in the previous posts). Hope this is really one of those "DOH !" moments..........
  9. Hello Jack, Just updated to v2.6.2 and this is an absolutlely brilliant contribution ! A big thank you for all of your effort in developing and then help and time supporting it. Bob
  10. I'm having problems getting redirects to work in my .htaccess. I'm trying to send all non-www traffic to my www domain but I cannot get it to work. Is the redirect for the URLs stopping this or is there something I should add ??
  11. In stand.php around line 136 there are the insurance charges that are used in the calculation for the costs. Remember that depending upon the value of your items to be shipped these insurance costs are added as part of the calculation for shipping. Hope it helps.
  12. I've got this contrib installed but am having trouble trying to redirect non-www to www URL's. My site is set up in www.domain.com/shop but I've been told to redirect any domain.com references to www.domain.com. I've tried numerous .htaccess codes but non seem to work - e.g.: Is the URL rewrite part of the contribution preventing me from doing this ? If so, any suggestions what I need to change ?

Protx VSP Direct - MS2.2 Support

Up and running fine on the new host ! Thanks Tom, as you said it was the missing Open SSL statement in the CURL config line. By the way my "old" hosts haven't even replied when I've told them I (well - you actually) have proved what the issue was. Brilliant contrib and thanks again for the help. Regards Bob

Protx VSP Direct - MS2.2 Support

Tom, you're a star, thanks! Although I cannot see an icon for shell access in cPanel I'll have a dig around, but more importantly I'll now ask them an explicit question and see what answer I get (if any - I know that's being really cynical and I should know better !). Thanks very much for all the help. I'll give you an update from my new hosting provider in due course.....
