    ULTIMATE Seo Urls 5 - by FWR Media

    @omar the new ht_canonical should be slightly different. It adds canonical tags to write review (review.php) that is currently rewritten to review.html. It's not important as this page should not be indexed by spiders but I think I should also add it to noindex pages. I want to study the new pages system to see if it's good to add rewrite rules to it, too, so / info.php?pages_id=4 would become /slug.html

    Categories above Body (Phoenix)

    I have altered the categories navbar module by GetSirius (https://apps.oscommerce.com/fbnCg&categories-navbar-module), to not be a dropdown-menu. As i have just shared it in another post, I will share it here as well - Just one disclaimer; it's working on Phoenix, and probably needs to be changed a bit for the new module-structure I've heard comes in the later v ersions. It should be rather straight forward, though. I've includes a screenshot of the look on the Phoenix it is tested on. includes_modules_navbar.zip

    Categories above Body (Phoenix)

    @ArtcoIncThere is a navbar module for categories (don't know the name) that may work for you. It wouldn't show the categories, I think, but they would be in the hamburger button. Another option would be to create a header module to display the two categories. Neither would require core changes. Other than that, unless someone else has another way, I think you will need to alter the core code. But if you used a template, you could avoid that too since you could duplicate and change the needed files.

    Flat rate shipping ... Except

    I would make two copies of the flat rate module: one for small packages, one for large packages and one for International. Module for small packages: Add code in the constructor function of the module to read through the products in the order. If any of them have a weight higher than what is considered small, set the status of the module to false. Set the shipping zone to the US. You may need to add a zone that only has the lower 48 states, unless shipping to Alaska and Hawaii are not a problem. Module for large packages: Do the same as the above but check to make sure all weights are for small items. Module for International: Set the zone to International. You may need to make a special zone if Alaska and Hawaii are to be included. When an order in the US is places, either the first or second module will appear. If the order is outside of the US, the third module will show.

    Recover Cart Sales for Phoenix

    I tested it with Phoenix I see that the currency class was removed in admin in, which I assume is your version. To fix it, please edit the three RCS files in the admin directory and remove this line. I haven't tested it but I think that will do it. require('includes/classes/currencies.php');

    A new version has been uploaded with these changes: Added icon for Phoenix shops. Cleaned up code a little. Fixed php warnings for Phoenix. Please note that this update just applies to Phoenix shops. The addon will work in other versions but if you already have it installed in a non-Phoenix shop, applying this update won't change anything.

    AJAX Attribute Manager support

    You do not need products_attributes.php using Ajax attributes manager 😉

    One easy way to hide the price and buy button in product listings is to use a customized CSS. For example you may open the file templates\default\static\user.css and add: However be warned that this method only hides the display of the information on surface and does not stop the buy function from running in the background. You may want to disable the shopping cart all together.

    @Adam_Maynard Everybody is experiencing a decline in sales! So, what can you do about it? Ask yourself, what sets your business apart from the others? Products? Service? Pricing? Where/how are you advertising? Regarding the site itself, just a couple of quick observations ... 1) You have a paid ad in the middle of the home page that is not responsive. This means that when viewing with a small device (ie: phone), there will be a left-right scroll bar *just* to accommodate the ad. 2) When viewed on a large screen (ie: desktop computer), the left column is quite narrow, resulting in the 'Best Sellers' to be a very long list, with each displayed listing broken up into lines of only 2 or 3 words. This make for awkward reading. Either make the left column wider (preferred), or choose a smaller font. 3) Under 'Categories', you have listed 'Powermatic'. This is a manufacturer of woodworking tools, is it not? Why is it in it's own category? 4) You offer free shipping on a $10k+ bandsaw weighing over 1400 pounds (Jet 7060) ???? You need to emphasize this more! I did not catch it at first in the scrolling slide show at the top of your home page! Again, just a couple of quick observations ... Malcolm

    Abandoned Cart Recovery

    As with most option one needs, you have to install an addon. Recover Cart Sales is the one you want. Although it needs to be updated to work in Phoenix. I planned that update but it will be a while. Maybe someone else has already done it, assuming you cannot.
