The example with the Banner Manager finally confirmed my expectations. OsCommers is turning from an excellent openSource software product with full free access, with thousands of modules created by the community on the OpenSource principle, into a private commercial project. People who disagreed with this were removed from the Phoenix Club. Including me. Principle of operation: 1. First, the code is removed from the kernel. For instance: - Banner manager. - Newsletter. Cause? We are told that no one needs these functions, that they are harmful and bad. The topic was in the Club, but I assume that it was deleted. 2. The kernel code is changed, so that it would be impossible to return what was deleted. A few months later, a remote functionality appears under a different name. Explanation: This is very necessary for the Phoenix. The banner manager was working. Ad Manager is not working. Do you want it to start working? Pay money. No problems. Build a commercial website and sell. But not everyone has this opportunity. For example, I do not have access to the Phoenix Club and do not have access to the corresponding add-ons. Is Phoenix an OpenSource or a commercial product that is sold on the market? The community is silent. Everyone agrees with one man's decision. And this is good. I agree with the opinion of the community.

    CSS to change on buttons?

Open Developer Tools in your browser. Select the button. Click the :hov so it turns blue. Tick in the boxes to see what style is applied, try them all to see what's what (make sure only one is ticked, untick others) - in this case, :active See something like this: See that style is applied to .btn-success:not(:disabled):not(.disabled):active

I feel development of Phoenix is moving in the right direction, this includes smart design for mobile devices and a new core for easy app integration. However the pace of development will be quicker if it is open to all. When more people are involved in the process of developing, learning, testing and feedbacks in a freer environment, the wonder will happen just like the case of Linux in the 70's. As far as fund is concerned, it will flow in automatically after people (yes, lots of people, even it means a small fraction of it) has implemented them successfully and find the product good and meet their expectation.

Very shady. That would make me worry that they would make some other change tomorrow that will affect the site. Cpanel is generally reached by https:// your domain name or IP /cpanel It is possible for the host to alter the patch so it shows as something else but very few do so, in my experience, since it is not worth the effort. It is probably more likely that the host is not using cpanel. There are open source control panels that some hosts use since they are much less costly. And some, that really shouldn't be called hosts, just divide up a serve they have and give limited access to it. For those types of account, you won't have a control panel since it can't be shared with the other accounts. With all things considered, your friend really should consider moving hosts.

Looks good. As long as the map files are created and are correct, you should be all set.

    [Contribution] Ship In Cart

@raiwa Rainer. I have just added a download (virtual) product to my cart and I get the following error I did get a similar error which I posted about in the forum here but that change has obviously not stopped the error in this module The trouble I am having in that your code looks nothing like the core code so cant suggest a change.

That's the first time you mentioned that! Presumably you have the template selected in admin>my store>template selection. So, your user.css is located at /templates/yourtemplate/static/

    HoneyPot Captcha

Then all I can think of is that you didn't make the correct changes in the files. Please compare your files with the ones in the ChangedFiles_Frozen_and_V234 directory, or even use one of those for a quick test. Also, having the "Email Addresses Allowed" and "URL's Allowed" options set to true prevents the code from stopping most spam. I suggest you change to false and then try sending an email from your contact us page with an email address or url in the body. If the email isn't blocked, then there is something wrong in your installation and troubleshooting the contact page will be much easier. If it does work, then it means there is a mistake in the create account file.

In core, ignoring the payment module, the order is only inserted after payment is completed. So if you are seeing a behavior where the order is inserted prior to payment being made, then the payment module is doing that. And it would be the payment module's responsibility to delete the order if modifications are made. That needs to be done in addition to the core processes, because, as I said, the core solution is to not insert the order until after payment is made. In PayPal Standard, that is done in the confirmation method: https://github.com/gburton/CE-Phoenix/blob/b7bfcaccc3e2cd9641b9d0c8db2be1cecf250a11/includes/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php#L154 Note how it deletes and then reinserts the order under some circumstances. Without any knowledge of the Quickpay module's code, my guess would be that it is not doing that at some times (perhaps all times) when it should.

    Customer group pricing

Admin > Certified Addons (yourshop.com/youradmin/certified_addons.php) And start typing in the search box... wh or just scan the page for "wholesale". Getting a Certified Addon from @raiwa directly benefits the Phoenix project.

One easy way to hide the price and buy button in product listings is to use a customized CSS. For example you may open the file templates\default\static\user.css and add: However be warned that this method only hides the display of the information on surface and does not stop the buy function from running in the background. You may want to disable the shopping cart all together.

@Adam_Maynard Everybody is experiencing a decline in sales! So, what can you do about it? Ask yourself, what sets your business apart from the others? Products? Service? Pricing? Where/how are you advertising? Regarding the site itself, just a couple of quick observations ... 1) You have a paid ad in the middle of the home page that is not responsive. This means that when viewing with a small device (ie: phone), there will be a left-right scroll bar *just* to accommodate the ad. 2) When viewed on a large screen (ie: desktop computer), the left column is quite narrow, resulting in the 'Best Sellers' to be a very long list, with each displayed listing broken up into lines of only 2 or 3 words. This make for awkward reading. Either make the left column wider (preferred), or choose a smaller font. 3) Under 'Categories', you have listed 'Powermatic'. This is a manufacturer of woodworking tools, is it not? Why is it in it's own category? 4) You offer free shipping on a $10k+ bandsaw weighing over 1400 pounds (Jet 7060) ???? You need to emphasize this more! I did not catch it at first in the scrolling slide show at the top of your home page! Again, just a couple of quick observations ... Malcolm

    Upgrading to the latest version

Thank you for this answer. I finally got it working in version 2.3.4 on https but without the new content, so I still use the older version for login. I would like to upgrade to Phoenix, but my problem is the payment tool being situated in Belgium. Ingenico (earlier Ogone) does not have an app for Phoenix. What payment tool could I use in Phoenix that I could use in Belgium? My shop is www.univer.be/shop

    Abandoned Cart Recovery

As with most option one needs, you have to install an addon. Recover Cart Sales is the one you want. Although it needs to be updated to work in Phoenix. I planned that update but it will be a while. Maybe someone else has already done it, assuming you cannot.

Greetings again. Changing the DB to utf8 and the engine from InnoDB to MyISAM solved the problem. Yep, the new version has it all hardcoded, but that is not described in the installing manual. We have to compare the chnaged files. Please update the install manual. This module is a must in any installation. Keep it on! Many thanks for the support!

    Discount Codes BS

Yes, we do test our stuff before uploading it to the addons area. Attitude or comments like that won't help you either. You still haven't provided the information I asked you for in the other discount thread you posted. Keep in mind more info YOU provide the better and accurate we can help. Anyways, looking at your store from the link you posted I can see that you are running the "normal" osC 2.3.4 version. THIS addon, Discount Codes BS, was made/adapted for osC Bootstrap only. You cannot use that addon for your current shop. So you have two choices, either you install and use a Bootstrap version of osC or you install a Discount Codes addon that is compatible with your shop. For example with this one. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7700 If you want to know more about the community build Bootstrap stuff read here. http://forums.oscommerce.com/topic/396152-bootstrap-3-in-234-responsive-from-the-get-go/page-1 One more thing, if you see addons that have the 2 letters "BS" in their title name then they are most likely made for the Bootstrap version and are therefore not compatible with your current shop version.

    One Page Checkout Support

So I changed line 1596 in includes/classes/onepage_checkout.php from if(function_exists('mb_check_encoding') && mb_check_encoding($inputs,'UTF-8')) to if(function_exists('mb_check_encoding') && mb_check_encoding($inputs,'UTF-32')) and it works fine. Why this is I have no idea. Took me two months of trial and error to find this :'(
