The number of products and orders does not have a strong meaning. We have imported hundreds of products and orders without any problems. Problems may arise with unstable old servers on shared hosting, which may fail under long-term loads when importing.

History of subject: Upsell was a separate module. Crosssell functionality has been built into osCommerce. In May 2023 we moved xsell functionality into separate app and combine it with Upsell module. So, when you applied the system update, the osCommerce was changed. Since part of the updated Upsell functionality was free, the updated Upsell module was free during several months. So: 1. There is no any "app cleaner" 🙂 2. If you installed an app while it was free, it will remain in your library even if it becomes paid.If you installed app while it was free, it stays into your library

Our support team is overloaded, Vadim is doubly overloaded. I see that you only have 2 messages on the forum, and you started with complaints. osCommerce works. Currently it has 13 version and 14 is comming soon. During the start we launched several dozen sites. Many of our customers have launched their websites on their own. Of course there are always some problems. Maybe you would bother to post your questions on the forum?

Hmmm I’ve been gradually working through, it does seem a lot more stable now but I’ve still yet to go live. So far core stuff seems to work but there are bugs. Most things seem to get fixed and there are many more features than before, but yes I share some frustration too. I’ve been told that Upsell/Crossell module was possibly included/free to start with (database entries etc.), but is now not. If using cleaner can just delete apps that were free, the question is could this happen to all apps? Lorraine

And the saddest part is, while Vadym escaped Ukraine and made it to England, my wife who is from Hrebeni Ukraine and very involved with the ILDU thought perhaps we could restart our life using this script. It turns out it is just another broken script in the graveyard of many broken and dead scripts littering the internet.

We downloaded oscommerce, installed it, purchased some add-ons. Sent messages to support, in email and on Facebook to Vadym with no answers multiple times on multiple days. Never had one single answer. While other "die hard fans" may disagree, we shouldn't have to wait for admin approval to get purchases we have made for this script and as well, it seems like when they took over this program from the original owners they were excited and working hard and then... they just got tired of it and left. I make this as a general statement to anyone looking forward to using this as a shopping cart, or possible purchasing items from the app shop.

I have 2 installs of oscommerce running on different domains. Only 1 is getting this error and it is relatively new: It occurs almost anytime within the backed I use a search function. I confirmed with with my hosting company nothing was changed and feel it is within oscommerce. I see that somone else had a similar error and "added zip to php" to fix the error, but I am not understaning this resolution.

To be clear, the paypal app addon has several modules in it, one of which is the Pro module and that allows taking cards on the site. Paypal may be less costly than authorize.net, depending on your host, the quantity of orders and whether you can get paypal to waive the monthly fee, which they will sometimes do.

A lot of products. But there isn't anything fancy like payment or inventory management. It's a basic website with a bunch of products and categories. Users log in, add their products to the basket and that's it when it comes to functionality. I can specify which tables are on the database if that is going to make it more clear

Seems all the steps go along smoothly and then nothing. Spent days trying to work this out but no luck. Rather frustrating so hope someone can help. What I have so far. You can download the authorize.net and paypal app addons here. Depending on the version of your shop and what version in on that site, they should work. You may also mention to your client that upgrading to V4 might be a better alternative. You can contact me if you want a quote or either of these.

I'm working with a merchant who's website was set up a very long time ago, and we're trying to get an updated payment gateway integrated. We were hoping to use the Authorize.net App, but it specifies osCommerce version 4.0 or newer. The merchant is currently on version 2.0, and no longer has a dedicated web developer or the means to make any large updates to his website's structure. Is it possible to still get apps for the version he is using?
