I am new to osCommerce. I have downloaded and installed Version 3.0.2 on my server and now have it running. But I seen a post that says it is not a working version.
Do I need to uninstall this version and install version 2.3.1 to have a working store.
Either way I need know if osCommerce can handle the following problems.
I don’t want to waste anybody time or mine trying to build a store that can handle these things.
I will mainly be doing drop shipping in most cases. My problem is my distributor has a $2.50 handling fee on orders bellow $50.00, Can this be handle automatically somehow.
They also Ship out of about 18 different locations.
My last question is can I upload my products as CSV file into the store, because I have over 4000 products to add and this would take forever manually?

Don,
NO, you didn't screw up the installation........v3.0.2 is the screw up !
Ok, actually, v3.0.2 is a developers release that is not production ready. DELETE IT and download v2.3.1 for production store.

Hi Don,
Yes, v2.3.1 is stable and PHP 5.3 compatible.
Also, You can add the service fee (low order fee) for orders less than 50.00. You can add Easy Populate to import your products using a CSV file and Multi Vendor Shipping to allow for drop shipping from multiple locations. (MVS may need to be updated to function efficiently with v2.3.1)
