Hi Jay, Don't feel bad, I still feel like I am a newbie at this, too! In catalog/includes/ you should find 2 files that are called login_acc.php and login_pwa.php Look for any code that says "style=" and then the word border after it. Also look for "border=" BACKUP THESE FILES, TOO! If it says style=border.... try deleting that bit of code or commenting it out by putting <!-- in front of it and --> after it. If there is bordercolor comment that out, too. Save the file and look at it. See if that takes care of your problem! If not, look in catalog/stylesheet.css You are looking for something like: .main or TR.main or TD.main I am not really sure but it would be main and/or "infobox" the code would look something like .main { border-top: 1px; } There would probably be lots of other things listed in the same place like font size, color, etc. Mine is so different from the standard, I can't begin to tell you what yours would look like. FYI: The css style sheet tells the page how you want it to look, whether you want a verdana type or arial, whether you want it to be 14px high or 8, or whether you want it to be a % height. By changing the style sheet, you can completely change your sites whole color scheme and layout. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BACKUP/SAVE THE STYLESHEET AND ANY OTHER FILE BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS. Right now, your problem is really minimal, but if you make changes and forget what you changed, you would have to begin again, you see? Hope this helps! Peace, Erin :) -

Jay, I know you have probably done this already, but it is the only thing I can think of. Double check your style sheet relating to the PWA login to see if there are borders on any of them. I think that would be infobox and main. Also check the pwa login page, to be sure there are no borders listed there. If there are borders listed any of these places, try changing them, one at a time until you find solution. Good luck! Peace, Erin :) -

Hi Amanda, Yeah, and Jayos, This is what I did on my checkout_process.php. I don't claim that it is perfect code, just that it works for me. I know very little about how to code properly and pretty much wing most of it. :-" BACK UP! $email_order .= "\n" . EMAIL_TEXT_BILLING_ADDRESS . "\n\n" . tep_address_label($customer_id, $billto, 0, '', "\n") . "\n\n"; //---------THIS IS ALL EXPERIMENTAL-------------------- // place email and phone after billing information $email_order .= EMAIL_TEXT_EMAIL . "\n" . tep_db_output($order->customer['email_address']) . "\n\n"; $email_order .= EMAIL_TEXT_PHONE . "\n" . tep_db_output($order->customer['telephone']) . "\n\n"; //-------------------------Next comes delivery address I also define the email and phone text in the english file. What prints out is this: Hope this helps! Peace, Erin :) -

Hi Mediajuggle, Sorry, about that! :( I didn't get a notice of reply, just happened to check in. Do you know what information is on line 382? If you can post just the FEW lines before and after line 382, that may provide the answer. Is it the code I just gave you, or is it another line? If it is the code I gave you, Are the first and last line beginning with //? I believe the error is related to unexpected text in the code. I don't think I will be back today, but if you post your reply, I will see what I can come up with. Mind you, I am not great at this stuff, but it is probably a VERY minor error. Peace, Erin -

Mediajuggle, Try this (BACK UP FIRST) } elseif ($HTTP_POST_VARS['copy_as'] == 'duplicate') { // Master Products $product_query = tep_db_query("select products_quantity, products_model, products_image, products_price, products_date_available, products_weight, products_carrot, products_tax_class_id, manufacturers_id, products_master, products_master_status from " . Hi Pete, Actually, I do not have a print button on the success page, at all. Until I finish putting my inventory online, I won't even address the problem. It should be pretty easy (an hour or 2 for a newby like me) to figure out the right code. You just have to say IF the customer is registered, show the print button. ELSE, do nothing or, as somebody else said, show a "print a copy of your order from the email we just sent you". I have too many irons in the fire at the moment, to work it out. Once I have it working, I will post here. Right now, if a customer checks out with a mail order, they are shown a Send payment to address and told they can print out the page, when they reach the confirmation page. If they are paying by credit card, I tell them that IF they are members, they can follow the link to their account history, telling them they can get their information through the link. It works for me, for now, as 99.9% are using the create account, before checkout. I have mine set up amazon style, with some wording modifications, and they all seem happy to become a member. So, since it is not high priority for me, I am working on other mods and inventory. As I said, when I get around to providing the print button for registered users, I will post here (If somebody else doesn't beat me to it :) ) My site is www.grandpasgeneral.com and is live. We are new age, occult, and metaphysical products. Hope that answers your questions. By the way, I am NOT looking for a site critique from anybody. I have so much to learn AND I also break many "rules" about page content. However, it works for me. Your mileage may vary. ;) Peace, Erin -

Hi Pete, The customer goes to the login page, because the session is destroyed on checkout success. It is important that the session is destroyed for security reasons. I never did find a solution, but there is one possibility. You could put an IF statement on the print order button, so that the button is only shown to those customers that are registered. I think somebody mentioned that earlier, but cannot recall. I just removed my print button from the success page, but kept it in the account page. After I finish rebuilding my online inventory (at least 3 weeks), I will most likely add the if statement, so that the button is only shown to registered customers. At least that would take care of half the problem and add something positive to the checkout experience. I don't know what code is actually needed and my php skills are not so hot, yet. That is why I can only offer a hint at a solution. When I get it to work for me, I will be happy to post my solution here. As I said that will be several weeks from now. Hope this helps you. On another note: I have modified my PWA quite a bit and even regular customers can use it, if they want. The only problem with that is when they go to log into their account, after using pwa, they have to get a new password, because their current password is no longer recognized. Not quite sure why that happens, but it is a only a minor irritation and not many people who are registered customers are going to use pwa when they have to retype all the information that is normally in their account. I just wanted them to have that option. If anyone knows a way around this, I would love to hear about it. Peace, Erin :D -

One More Thing.... I just tried something new. In admin/gift_add.php I replaced this line <td class="smallText">'.tep_image_submit('button_update.gif', IMAGE_SEARCH).' <a href="gift_add.php?ID='.$gift['products_id'].'&action=delete">'.tep_image_submit('button_delete.gif', 'Delete').'</a> <a href="categories.php?pID='.$gift['products_id'].'&action=new_product">'.tep_image_submit('button_edit.gif', 'Edit').'</a> </td> with this line from previous version 1.3 <td class="smallText"><input type="submit" name="submit" value="update"> [ <a href="gift_add.php?ID='.$gift['products_id'].'&action=delete">DELETE</a> ] [ <a href="categories.php?pID='.$gift['products_id'].'&action=new_product">EDIT ITEM</a> ]</td> Now, the item can be deleted from the admin AND I can hit "edit" and it takes me to the product description page. "Update" does not seem to do anything that I can tell, outside of refreshing the page. So it appears that the problem is in the one line of code, somewhere. I am just not very good at this yet... :-" At least mine seems to work for now, not as pretty, but functional. Hope this helps! Peace, Erin :D -

Hi Jack and everyone, I have also had this problem (can't update, edit, or delete gifts from the admin) since I first added the contribution version 1.7. When I changed the code in gift_add.php in the admin section, here is what shows (whether I hit the update, edit, or delete button): However, there is only one gift showing on the list, the other is only a possible addition (if that makes a difference). Thanks for any help! Peace, Erin -

Hi Scott, I am having the same problem with the price break mod and gift items not showing up in the cart when a price break item is there. Could you post your fix? I am still learning php and am afraid I might just break it.... :-" Thanks, for your help! Peace, Erin -

Hi Snowman, I did not quite understand this, myself, at first. I have another mod that requires the product begin with gift, as well, but the "model" rather than the name. This mod requires the NAME begin with Gift, Like "Gift - Free Rose Quartz", or something like that. You can duplicate any item you like and rename it to "Gift ~ whatever", and it should appear in the box. It does not matter what the "model" is, just the product name. If you do have products already called Gift something, then I don't have any help to offer you. Hope this helps! Peace, Erin :D -

Hi all, This is a great contribution and I just installed it today. Everything seems to be working fine and I love the carrot "just spend x dollars more to get the gift"! However, I am having the same problem, as above, although I do not have any attribute contributions added. If the item is marked out of stock in the admin, the items will show as free gifts in the admin and in the catalog, but when you click on the "add" button in the shopping cart nothing happens, it only refreshes the cart. The free items show that you have reached the threshold, etc, but the button only works, if the item is marked as in stock in the admin. Any ideas, anyone? One more thing, I just noticed. The items cannot be removed (deleted) from my admin, at all. That is certainly not a huge issue, as I can delete them from the table easy enough. Just thought I would mention it. The download I used is the most recent 1.7 As it is, I can probably use this as is. It is a great contribution! The items are linkable in the shopping cart and I can give a brief description and mention that these are "specials" and may not be purchased by themselves. If anyone has any thoughts on what we may have done wrong with the admin or cart, I am all eyes. ;) Peace, Erin. -

Hi Bobby, I just wanted to come back and say I am sorry, if I wasted any of your time. I was so tired  yesterday. This morning, I decided to go back through all of your install instructions, and then double check every single file. Everything was good. It just did not make sense, because it works so great on my Apache2Triad server. Then, I thought about Cache... When I first installed the seo mod, I was not aware that you had a cache mod, too. I misunderstood the instructions and thought you meant the OSC cache. So, I put in the code for the cache installed. After reading the forums, I saw that this was not necessary and changed it back. However, I did not change my database settings for the OSC cache. Even though I made the changes you suggested about the @ character in the array, and reset the seo cache, I did not reset the database cache (listed under tools in the admin), so I kept seeing the error. Everything Works GREAT! I only post this long explanation, in the event that some other poor cluck like me makes the same mistake and is searching for an answer. I hope this did not waste too much of your time. Thank you, for your assistance and for a wonderful contribution! Peace, Erin :D -

Hi Bobby, I know you are terribly busy and I really appreciate all the time you put into helping people like me. Any advice you can give is appreciated. I have read the forum(s) about seo urls and found a hint at my problem, but thought maybe it you might have another answer. Like many before I am getting the warning "Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /usr/www/users/erin/shop/includes/boxes/categories.php on line 31", etc. over my categories box. I tried adding the (@in array as you said and that cleared it up for the categories. However, I still get the error on pages like index.php, shopping cart.php, and other non category pages. Did I misunderstand where to put the @? I am using the htaccess rewrite and include it, below, just in case I messed that up... # This is used with Apache WebServers # # For this to work, you must include the parameter 'Options' to # the AllowOverride configuration # # Example: # # <Directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs"> # AllowOverride Options # </Directory> # # 'All' with also work. (This configuration is in the # apache/conf/httpd.conf file) # # Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On # Change "folder" to your catalog directory name RewriteBase /shop/ # # ADD SEO URLS CONTRIBUTION MOD REWRITE RewriteRule ^(.*)-p-(.*).html$ product_info.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-c-(.*).html$ index.php?cPath=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} RewriteRule ^(.*)-m-(.*).html$ index.php?manufacturers_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING} # END ADD SEO URLS 4-29-05 # #STOP SPIDER SESSIONS AND REDIRECT 5-5-05 # Skip the next two rewriterules if NOT a spider RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !(msnbot|slurp|googlebot) [NC] RewriteRule .* - [S=2] # # case: leading and trailing parameters RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.+)&osCsid=[0-9a-z]+&(.+)$ [NC] RewriteRule (.*) $1?%1&%2 [R=301,L] # # case: leading-only, trailing-only or no additional parameters RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.+)&osCsid=[0-9a-z]+$|^osCsid=[0-9a-z]+&?(.*)$ [NC] RewriteRule (.*) $1?%1 [R=301,L] # # The really wierd part is that it all works fine on Apache2triad. It is only on my hosts site that I see the problem. I have reinstalled the database, deleted and uploaded the files, twice. Still the same error, but only on the non category pages... :( Everything else works GREAT! We have been closed for 6 months, due to family illness and this new store is scheduled to go online in less than a week. I would love to get this ugliness off my site, before I open the site. In case you are interested, my hosting server info is: Server OS: FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE Database: MySQL 4.0.18-log Server Date: 05/05/2005 19:15:47 Datebase Date: 05/05/2005 19:15:50 Server Up Time: 7:15PM up 11:52, 3 users, load averages: 2.73, 1.70, 1.20 HTTP Server: Apache/1.3.29 PHP Version: 4.3.10 (Zend: 1.3.0) Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Erin :D -
Hi Bill, Many thanks, again, for making this work! On a future wishlist: I wanted to put this out there, because I have searched and have not found anyone who does this. How hard would it be to make this a confirmed or "double opt-in", that is they are not actually signed up until they respond to an email. I have non member subscriptions set up this way, in my perl cgi, but the language is different and I don't have a clue how to begin. The subscriber clicks on a personalized url that activates the subscription. It would actually be good for somebody who was just "creating an account", rather than purchasing, as well. This keeps people from signing up their "friends" to spam. I suppose they would have already put this in the original OSC as an option, if it was easy, but I had to ask as you seem to know your way around the code pretty well  . Anyway, Thanks, again for your help and great contribution! Peace, Erin :)
