  1. Is there a contribution that allows me to control which payment method is shown depending on the order total? For example, I accept Email Money Transfers (EMTs) at my store, but EMTs aren't available for transactions under $10. I have this written in my help file, but I think it'll be better if EMTs are disabled if the order total is less than $10, and enabled if the order total is more than $10.
  2. Has anyone tried this contrib with the Canada Post shipping module (with dimensions)? I'm using Loaded 5, and everything works if I use table or zone rates. But if I use the Canada Post module, nothing shows up. It only shows up once the buyer is logged in. I read this entire post and also did a search, but I couldn't find enough info to help.
  3. OK, I emailed Pablo and I got my answer. So for those of you who want to know, the PayPal IPN contrib can automatically send the notification URL to PayPal. Just make sure the notification URL is correct in your PayPal IPN contrib, and leave the one in your PayPal account blank. Then you should be all set for IPN (for multiple sites). Thanks to Pablo for helping me out! 8)
  4. Hmm, the lady told me I can't have 2 premier/business accounts, only 1 personal and 1 premier/business. I called the customer service number on their site. Who did you contact? I have a Canadian account, so maybe that's the reason?
  5. I did some more searching and I finally found what I'm looking for. It looks like I should be able to have multiple IPN notify URLs. The only problem right now is: how the heck do I do that? Here's the link that I found: http://www.paypaldev.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=30 BTW, I'm using Loaded 5. Thanks.
  6. I have 2 stores installed on the same domain (1 for U.S. buyers and 1 for Canadian buyers). Everything works fine. However, I have a problem with my PayPal IPN module. Since I have 2 stores and only 1 PayPal account, I can't use PayPal IPN for both stores. Is there any way to solve this besides getting a 2nd PayPal account? Unfortunately PayPal doesn't let me have 2 premier/business accounts, so that could be a problem.
  7. For those of you wondering, I'm talking about the contrib located here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,956
  8. Has anyone gotten menuBar 0.2.1 by John Guerra to work with MS1? I have the loaded 5 installed and I can't get menuBar to work. All I see is a blank box with the words "building menu" in the IE status bar. I'm able to see without problems other sites that used the menuBar, so it's not my browser.
  9. Hmm, I kept looking for an answer and I still couldn't find it. Has this been talked about before?
  10. For the loaded snapshot (v5.0), how does the "add comments to order" work with PayPal IPN? Before I used the Nov. 20 snapshot and I had to manually mod the cart for the "add comments to order" feature to show up before the checkout_success.php. I used the mod here: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=28865 However, the loaded snapshot already has the "add comments to order" modded and it's different from the one above. The one above doesn't show the comments box for PayPal orders -- only cheques/money orders have the comments box. Also, the comments box doesn't show up until the confirmation screen. But for the loaded snapshot, the comments box shows up even for PayPal orders. The box also shows up during the shipping address screen, as well as the billing address screen. Wouldn't the comments get erased if a buyer used PayPal? How does the comments box work in this case?
  11. Oh, I found it. That question was asking about the "Send Test IPN" error, so it threw me off. I didn't realize the error message was the same as the one I'm getting.
  12. Whoops, sorry for messing up the screen.
  13. I got the contrib installed and running great, but now I can't backup my database. This is what I got: 1054 - Unknown column 'exchange_rate' in 'field list' ----- select paypalipn_txn_id,txn_id,ipn_result,receiver_email,item_name,item_number,quantity ,invoice,custom,option_name1,option_selection1,option_name2,option_selection2,num _cart_items,payment_status,pending_reason,payment_date,settle_amount,settle_curre ncy,exchange_rate ,payment_gross,payment_fee,mc_gross,mc_fee,mc_currency,tax,txn_type,memo,first_n ame,last_name,address_street,address_city,address_state,address_zip,address_count ry,address_status,payer_email,payer_id,payer_status,payment_type,notify_version,v erify_sign from paypalipn_txn [TEP STOP] ----- Is it just me? Is the problem related to this contrib?
  14. Oh sorry, I wasn't clear with my question. I'm not talking about an account with Canada Post; I'm talking about an account with my store. If someone wants to buy a product from me, he must create an account at my store before he sees the shipping cost (and then the payment method screen, etc.). I'm thinking about having a shipping cost estimate feature that'll allow people (without an account at my store) to check the shipping cost. I sell internationally, so a person in Taiwan or Japan might want to find out how much shipping will cost before creating an account at my store and buying the product.
  15. Thanks again for the reply, Ian. I put the codes in and everything is up and running now.
