@DunWeb

Your thoughts on the file permissions got me to looking more. The directories were listed as 505?? Not sure how they got that way. I changed the directories to 705 and was able to delete them all.

Thanks for suggesting file permissions :thumbsup:

@DunWeb

Sorry Chris if I wasn’t clear on the permissions. The file permissions are set to 604. The 550 is the error code given by my FTP client when trying to delete these files.

550 Could not delete .htaccess: Permission denied

That sounds like a good solution. I’ll give it a try.

They do want the product, and signup with their real names and address. We’d just rather not sell to them. To be a little more specific, it’s copyright material certain people purchase and then post all over the web for free download. Our CC processor usually catches them, but every now and then one will slip by them.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I’ll check out that blacklist mod.

I could ban on IP but these people use proxies and mask their IP’s.

I’d rather have them join, and then throw them into a "not allowed to order" list

Yes, the information will still have to be captured for shipping purposes and such, but it’s more of a convenience for a customer. Why should I try to figure out my username and password to order from this store, when this other store doesn’t require me to register? Fast in, fast out. That’s the way I feel about it anyways.
