  1. I found the answer to my issue. It was that I was still on the USPS testing server. Apparently, the testing server only uses their "V2" protocol or whatever and even so, it doesn't often work properly. Moving it to the production server by calling them did the trick. Also, it adds weight for the package tare weight that you specify so be conscious of this. As for zero weight packages, I assume USPS expects it to weight something! There is likely simply a minimum weight required that they are injecting.
  2. Okay, so I've added a "weight" option name under Product Options and under Product Attributes for "There's Something About Mary" I added the weight Option Name and value Option Value of 4.5 to indicate that it was 4.5 pounds. Then I looked under the Catalog section and dug down to the Categories/Products > DVD Movies > Comedy > "There's Something About Mary" title and when I edit it I see that it has a Products Weight: 7.00. I also looked at my Configuration > Product Listing > Display Product Weight and made sure that was set to "1" but do not see this under the item listing in my website store at http://www.bmrestatestore.com/. Any more thoughts on this?
  3. Hi, I'm new to osCommerce (v2.3.1) and I'm trying to install my USPS module to give shipping rates for USPS Parcel Post shipments. I assume this is possible? Does it use tables or something or does the weight come from a product description and if so, where do I define this? I see no weight properties in catalog items of the sample osCommerce shop. Right now I have USPS module installed with my USPS user ID (and password) entered as well as my zip code in the Configuration > Shipping/Packaging section. Firefox isn't letting me sign in as a customer but Internet Explorer is and tells me: An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations. If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner. Thanks in advance for any help!
