In Topic: Small question about removing Checkout
Posted 6 Nov 2009
Hi guys, thanks for the replies.
My aim is to allow customers to use the shopping cart to total all their products, but then to leave it there & have them complete it over the phone.
I've been playing around at altering the login.php page as this is the first one they see when they click 'checkout'
on login.php I plan to simply explain our shipping procedure and provide a telephone number.
It seems rather cumbersome altering login.php and I was wondering how many & which files i'd have to modify to make the 'checkout' button redirect to example.php. Does that sound feasable?
Thanks again. -

If you used zone based shipping module, you could create zones as counties as it stands, or go for someone to modify the code to provide a shipping module that would allow you to create zones based on uk towns or postcodes.
You can find a coder on one of the many freelance coder websites that are knocking about, I suggest that if you post a project on one of them you think it through on what you want it to do before posting and use someone that has some good feed back if you havent used these sites before. I suspect it wouldnt cost much more than £100 for someone outside the uk to look at this for you probably less, as they only need to get the module to use a table and base the postcode on the first half of the code or to use the town name system.
Just a thought
