banner code in header

can anyone tell me how to place the banner code in the header just below the shop logo everytime i place the banner code in there all it does is print whatever i have named the banner in admin

i have followed the instructions to move them under the product description, but was wondering if there is any way to stop them showing in the right column box also the facebook like doesnt seem to line up neatly with rest it is higher than them is there anyway of correcting this thanks in advance

i have installed this on a 2.3.1 shop but the background for it shows as a grey colour can anyone tell me how i change the colour of it
