SSL Problem, No Padlock
Posted 28 Jul 2009
Hi,
I'm 100% postive it is really an oscommerce problem, but i was hoping one of you people might know more about it than i.
I have an SSL setup on my website (www.ezcool.co.uk) , the Host installed it for me, however on firefox it says:
This Connection is Untrusted
Technical Details:
www.ezcool.co.uk uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
However on Internet Explorer, it doesn't say anything or show a padlock, but if you view properties it says:
Connection: SSL 3.0, RC4 with 128 bit encryption (High); RSA with 1024 bit exchange
Mines an old version of internet explorer, so the padlock shows down at the bottom right hand side, like firefox, so i know what i'm looking for
I have setup everything correctly in the configs, i double checked, but i could still be wrong, however i don't see how that could relate.
If you wish to access the site to see for yourself:
www.ezcool.co.uk
Username: 97T
Password: QQ6
You might have to input it a couple of times with internet explorer.
Also can also tell me if their are any security risks or problems that i havn't spotted. And what you think too my site!
Cheers! -

Stock updating
Posted 29 May 2009
Hi,
Say if i'm selling on both Ebay and on a website, is there anyway to link the stock? so if i sell an item on ebay, it will update on the website? i wouldn't expect it too work the otherway though.
Thanks -
Terms And Conditions, Your Thoughts
Posted 24 May 2009
Hi,
Still setting up, but i was looking into what to put for the T&C's.
And one bit of text crossed my eyes:
Quote
RISK OF LOSS
All items purchased from [Insert Name Here] are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This basically means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
I take it that means if an item dissapears during delivery, they don't need to send a replacement?
If that is true, what do you guys/girls think to that? It's a good point, because if the Buyers like to rip you off (By saying they havn't received it, when they have), it means they can't.
On the other hand what about fair and honest buyers, who happen to lose there item during the delivery? they lose both the item and there money.
What are your thoughts on this?
