In Topic: How do I integrate the classic Google Analytics code?

31 March 2014 - 09:10 PM

I tried pasting the code shown in

https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2444872?hl=en-GB

$template['headcontent'] .= '<script type="text/javascript">' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'var _gaq = _gaq || [];' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '_gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-xxxxxxx-x']);' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '_gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '(function() {' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://' : 'http://') + 'stats.g.doubleclick.net/dc.js';';' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '})();' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '</script>' . "\n";
}

The syntax looks better but still a blank screen :-(

When I replace with

$template['headcontent'] .= '<script type="text/javascript">' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://" : "http://");' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "stats.g.doubleclick.net/dc.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '</script>' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '<script type="text/javascript">' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-xxxxxxx-x");' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'pageTracker._initData();' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= 'pageTracker._trackPageview();' . "\n";
$template['headcontent'] .= '</script>' . "\n";

The page goes blank

In Topic: Best way to move my site from /catalog to /

Hi Phil,

I am installing seo urls and updating alot of old code so whilst I am doing this I want to move to /

I have never liked the "catalog" naming part of our store, also we are UK based and is actually spelt "catalogue" anyway

So definetely wish to move to / - just looking for the best way to do it

Thanks
