Store has reoccurring database table error

11 February 2012, 19:50

My client's website keeps sporadically crashing and showing this error:

145 - Table './passport/whos_online' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

delete from whos_online where time_last_click < '1328987889'

[TEP STOP]

I have told the hosting company about the problem, since I assumed it was with the database on their end, and each time they have fixed it. I asked they why this keeps happening and they said it had to do with the way the tables were setup and the cache. This doesn't help me too much since I did not create the database or website, someone else no longer with the company did, and I am not familiar enough with databases and programing to fix this myself. I also don't know if this is true or not and the problem really does lie on their end.

Is there a way I can get some directions on what to do to stop having these tables in the database crash the website? Or should I switch hosting companies?

Thanks in advance!

PayPal Express Installation Error

13 June 2011, 02:43

Hi -
I am trying to install PayPal Express and I get an error when I click Intall from the admin section.

[indent]1136 - Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

INSERT INTO orders_status VALUES (5, 1, 'Review [Paypal FMF]', 0, 0),(5, 2, 'Review [Paypal FMF]', 0, 0),(5, 3, 'Review [Paypal FMF]', 0, 0)

[TEP STOP][/indent]

I just uploaded the files from the .zip file - not sure where I went wrong with such an easy install. What does this error mean and how can I fix it?

Thanks
Liz

Order Over charged, not showing in admin

12 June 2011, 05:23

Hi -
I got an email from the website owner tonight that they got a PayPal order confirmation, but the order was either incomplete, or grossly over charged their customer (the items listed in the order would not have added up to the amount that was charged). When I looked in the admin side to find the order I could not find any new orders or the invoice number. I did see the new customer's info in the admin though with the order date as the account created date.

Any ideas of what is happening here? Why would PayPal process an order that is not recorded in the admin and, why would the order be for over $100 when it should have only been about $30?

Thanks for the help -
Liz
