But i notice there are a few updates and i have to run a SQL thingy!  My website is old and I haven't a clue how to update it to a newer program (and I daren't!), am i likely to run into any pitfalls here or was it pretty straight forward? thank you

thank you.  I did see the second add-on before, but it did look like something that the customer would have to read!  Despite having a huge picture banner at the top of my page when i was unable to post due to the heavy snowfall  a couple of years ago, i still got people asking about orders!  

I made the mistake of putting my telephone number on the website!  My phone never stops ringing with people wanting to know when their order will be sent and I have a permanently bitten lip from trying to stop my self from screaming - "it'll be sent if I ever get of this darn phone!!!"

Hence - why i really need a proper holiday!

Okay, managed to figure this out!

In my cpanel, php admin I opened up the database.

I had already changed the length in products_description but it was also in orders_products that needed changing
Essentially I changed the Product NAME,  which was originally limited to 99, but i increased it to 250 characters to ensure as much info as i needed was in the product title, so immediately visible to the customer - as they never bother to click on the item and actually read the description!

Hope that helps out anyone else who gets stuck with it!

Hi,  my set out for my invoice is fine, its the product length that is not printing in full for example.  This is a typical invoice.  I have managed to make the descriptions longer on the website for some items.  The short descriptions (first 4 items) are fine, but the last one is incomplete on the invoice, though complete on the website and in the admin panel.  This cause a problem if the colour or size is in the last part of the description as I can't then see this information on the invoice.

Really getting annoyed with it now!

Thank you.  I have looked at the 'easy populate' i'm just concerned about the idea of downloading and uploading (or rather the sapce of time inbetween), as i have a super slow 0.25mb internet speed!

As for looking at other sites, i did scroll through a few, but the internet speed again caused problems.  I am spending soooo many hours trying to sort this - and the majority are just witing.  The liklihood of our tiny village ever having a better internet is very slim!
