There is a bug when you have existing customers, and you increase the password length in admin, customers can't change their password if the old password is less than the new min length set in admin. As a result, I am stuck with a password length of 5 (default?) and can not increase it for extra security as existing customers can't then change their password if it is less than the new prescribed length.

Once the bug is fixed, maybe a higher default setting of 8 for password length would be more secure as well?
I'm on 060817 so apologies if this was fixed on RC2...
