After some issues with my website, I am taking the plunge to update to the newer 2.3.1 OSC. However due to the issues I have had I am having to start from scratch so hoping the following will work:

1) Backup DB
2) Install New OSC
3) Install relevant contributions
4) Install product images from previous set up
5) Restore DB with the back up from previous install (ensuring all DB info matches the contributions I had installed last time).

Is there anything i have forgotten or not realised?

I am running OSC 2.2 MS2 and recently got hit with the ereg_replace php 5.3.1 issue. I applied the fix to 2 stores and both we fixed of the ereg issue, however one of the stores now has no navigation.

The index page loads without any reported errors, yet when you click on any of the links (i,e, Product or catagory) it fails to load. In fact when you watch where the link points to (i.e. when explorer link description pops up its pointing only to the index page).

However if you click on the header internal advert it will load the correct catagory but then again no links from there will work.

I have checked and double checked and applied the ereg fix and I am confident that these have been applied correctly.

At this time due to template use I cant really upgrade to newer OSC and import DB.

Any input would be greatly appreciated on this as if/when fixed I can continue on the new store I am working on and then hopefully be able to implement (through outsorcing) upgrades to a newer OSC keeping the template in tact.

Like many I have been suddenly hit with the ereg_replace problem. Swiftly found the fix and applied to the store I was working on and all fine. Then realised it was the same on another of my stores and this one aint so simple:

1) Applied the fix and it resolved, however was getting URL_rewrite errors, I was using the old "Search Engine Friendly URL" contribution.
2) Tried to remove the contribution syep by step and more things went wrong.

So my query is Can the like of Ultimate SEO 5 be laid ontop ontop of the old contribution easily?

As far as I can see the best options I have are:

1) Fix the ereg_replace issues and try and fix the old URL contrib
2) Fix the ereg_replace issues and install Ultimate SEO 5 over the old contrib
3) Start again.

If start again, if i make a backup of the SQL DB and reinstall OSC using the same DB and then restore will all the products be back in tact with keywords and all? Its just that there are several thousand products which were added manually for formatting and cosmetic reasons.

Any input would be fantastic as I aint great at php (well actually i stink....lol)

I have recieved an order confirmation by email along with paymrnt confirmation (double checked). However when i log into the admin I can see the new customer details but there is no corresponding order details?

Would not know where to start looking for this one?

I have downloaded and installed the stated contribution, however it seems to have a mind of its own and works when it wants to.

When it does work it adds a new smaller menu to the left of the page (this menu has catagories i dont have on my main menu.

Also I now have the following issues in addition to the above:

1) In the admin config area I now have 2 "AGE PAGE Category" lines to edit
2) In product & catagorie preview pane as soon as I click on a catagory I have a td> which is obvioulsy an unfinished code. This does not appear on the index page or the actual product preview page but is shown on all pages in between.

I really do need to get the Age Restricted Contribution working so any help would be very much appreciated.
