Hi Everyone,
This is my first go around with osCommerce. Let me first say how cool this php script is and I feel that I have found a new home with it!
This shop is and will always be a work in progress so any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I plan to start adding the products soon.
Thanks

You can make that header span any size from 800 to 1600 by making the right 1/3 a tiled background image. Note: it looks like the curtains in the background are already tiled. If you pull that layer out of the header and make it a background image of just one piece rather than strung together as it is, then you could make it so that it extends indefinitely (need to make the top part of the header transparent in that case as well). You can do the same even more easily with the purple bar at the bottom. Add it (in the pale shade of the right hand side) to your background image or as a background *color*. The darker part of that bar will stay part of the header image.
Just an idea to keep your design but allow it to handle multiple widths.

Matt

Also the product pics show jagged edges from being exploded to your pixel size and also shrunk down. Try a contribution by the name of "Keep Image Proportions" found in the contributions area under features, page 11. It will help to keep your images at the smaller sizes nice and crisp. Instead of blurred a bit. Trust me it works to see this in action check out http://www.comteccus...talog/index.php
Should clean them up real nice for ya.

For a first site, this is excellent! Well done!
The only thing is that you have too many infoboxes showing. Whats the point of "reviews" infobox ? What's the point of showing "shopping cart" infobox when there is nothing in it ? What's the point of "best sellers" - can't your customers make up their own mind on what they want to look at ?
Your site create horizontal scroll at a resolution of 1024. This needs to be fixed.
You need a new button set.
Overall, it's rather good for a first attempt, it just needs some polishing.

Email received which made me laugh: Im looking for a master. Every great hero had a master, Superman had his father, Jor-L, Luke Skywalker had Obi Wan, The Turtles had Master Shredder, Batman also had his father, Bruce Wayne, and most important of all, Rodney had Delboy.
