Hi all

what is the average size of an oscommerce web site in megas ?

That is like asking how large a CAR is!

It can be small that it can be just a few Megs (if you chop everthing that you don't need out of it) to ten if not hundreds of megs. Depend on how much pictures, downloads and other media you load onto the server and if you modify it.

Can run a half decent site with a dozen or so product with good pics under 10 Megs (including RAW MySQL files) with cleaning out the SQL database offten.

Hosting sites offering hundreds of megs to gig+ for just pennies or nearly (or actually) free - Space is not offten a problem. Mostly is limited on how much history your wanting to keep and how much your going to load on it. I would be more concerned with reliablity, connection and server speed.

Clean install is probably ~6Mb without any products plus 1Mb Database
