Not enuf info!

How are you or which way are you protecting your Admin?

.htacess file?
Your Host cPanel?
Admin Login Mod? If so which one?

If you have an OSC mod login - most provide a change password fuction or a "lost password" that will generate a new password (note your email fuction MUST work and you must have a VAILD email for that to work).

I was using CPENAL to install osC. The cpanel interface
set the admin password when I install OSC, but it doesn't
have change password option for OSC. It only has an
option to remove OSC.

I thought the passworld should be installed somewhere
on the filesystem and I can use the shell access to
change it. Any ideas?

CPanel has password protected the directory via .htaccess - NOT VIA OSC. Your cPanel should have the option to password protect (or remove) ANY directory you want. Talk to your host provider or look at the user manual for cPanel.

See: http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cp/Passwordprotectdirectories.htm
