Hi,
I've been hard at work upgrading to a new store, equiped with MS1 loaded 5 and around 40 to 50 more contributions I've tried my best to make this store more feature packed yet easy for customers to use and order. In the end it is the customer who has to use the site so I need to design it around them. So what I am asking today is for you, as a customer, to help me out and see any potential flaws in the site that will turn you off etc. Would you buy from this site. What is missing etc? Your professional input is much appriciated.
Before you open your browser to the store, please note that this site is still in production so some things have not been complete E.G Some pictures are missing, some text is not there but the general idea is there right now. The root domain is our live site, please do not place any orders on that side of the store.

I would love to hear your opinions and ideas.
Much appriciated

Not to keen on the red bars e.g 'Specials For September'
Possibly make the right / left columbs background a very night blue to break the page up a little??
otherwise looking through it the actual 'look' of the site is pretty standard, although as said many times before this isnt a bad thing just boring for people like me
lol
Great site, good look mate.

HI, I like your site, its got real potential.
A couple of things:
1. I like the infobox headings on the left, they look professional, but not the ones on the right, i'd also use the same theme for the headings in the main content area.
2. I can't read the links at the top of your store, 'view cart' 'checkout', etc. due to the lines you have up there.
cool domain name tho
Matt

I prefer the blue bars also but I do think both left and right should be the same, whichever one you decide to go for.
Also it seems redundant to have your cart, account and checkout links in the header as well as the top bar.
I like the subcategory images you have - they are very like mine, except mine have a dark red border round to match my site colours. Great minds
I like your allprods page as well, mine is just a plain list.

I can only find a few minor complaints: The box headings in the left column are different than the ones in the right. I would make them all look like the right column boxes; those look really good.
The flashing "free shipping" image is really annoying. It draws my eye away from your products.
When I look at the shopping cart, there is a long text entry box uderneath the item I selected. What is that supposed to be for? If this is not an error it needs some explanation.
Otherwise it seems to be a very professional layout and a very solid site design. Nice job!
Regards
Jim

Thanks for your input.
The reason why I have 2 box headings is that I'm testing to see which one is better. I'm having a mental block and I can't decide how I want the site to look
A lot of you guys prefer the blue, I don't know if its just me but it looks very washed out to me. I want the headings to stand out.
A long text entry in the shopping cart? Are you talking about the Shipping cost estimator? I still need to pretty that up.
Im going to have a break so I can think clearer, I love you suggestions so keep them coming in

I like the site.
However, why do you show my IP address at the bottom of the page? Do I need to know that? In my opinion it may scare new shoppers off because they feel they are being tracked.
Just a thought...

Add the below code anywhere you would like to display the dropdown box in the header.php file
This will show "Catalog" as the default title, if you would like to change it to something else like what I have "quick browse" you need to change the above HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG to HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG2 and define it in the language file.
EG.
<form name="quick_jump" method="get" action="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT, 'jumpto=1', 'NONSSL'); ?>">
<?php
echo tep_draw_pull_down_menu('cPath', tep_get_categories(array(array('id' => '0', 'text' => HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG))) , $current_category_id, 'onChange="this.form.submit();" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; border: 1px solid #FFFFFF background: #FFFFFF; color: #cc0000;"' );
echo '<input type=hidden name=quickjump value=1>';
echo '<input type=submit value="»">';
?>
</form></td>
This will show "Catalog" as the default title, if you would like to change it to something else like what I have "quick browse" you need to change the above HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG to HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG2 and define it in the language file.
EG.
define('HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG2', 'Quick Browse');
