Group Buy Credit? -Suggestion

I know there are a few Different Modules close to this out there but I don't think anyone of them does this exactly.

Idea: I sell Motorcycle Parts and quite often on many message boards, through out the internet, someone will post up a group buy, well 20-50 people will jump aboard to purchase one product ranging from 100-500+$ from one specfic vendor. Well most of them want a discount if they can get that many to purchase at one time.

Problem: Most of the time 1 person has to collect money or do all the arrangements with a online shop and try to figure out rates and handle all the details. Follow up with all the users to get them to pay to meet the 10-20 person minumum for a group buy.

Solution: The solution is to build a "Self Service" module, basically taking you out of the picture, but allowing other people to create Group Buys for Popular Items on your site.

If people could "Create a Group Buy" on your site and then have features to email other people and code they can insert in message boards that would link people directly to your site to Sign up for the group buy this module could dramatically increase sales.

The module would also keep track of who has paid and would email participants as soon as the minimum order was met.

I.e. To get a $500 part for $475, 10 people would sign up, 20 people would get the product for $450...and so on and so forth

The more People sign up the lower the prices goes...up until a specefied amount.

The key to this is to make it Self Service and integrated with Message Board, I.E Have a General Code that can be inserted into the message board, (both BBCode and HTML) describing the Group Buy and what to do, maybe even a picture of the product, something that could be inserted in an Email or any HTML reader.

I think a few of the credit modules may be able to do this if they were tweaked enough but I don't know how to code that well.

How could this be applied to your business? Could anyone else utilize a module like this?
