RH9 Upgrade broke mysql_connect()

Hi,

I've just upgraded my workstation to RH9. When I browse to my test site I now get this:

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /data1/a/Data/Tom/winTom/website/osyes/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19

 

I swear all I've done is an upgrade. Everything was working before that. :(

 

Has anyone seen this or have any clues on what it might be?
