skattabrain
just wondering, i plan on selling large dollar items that are one-of-a-kind. but instead of removing the item after it sells, i still want it listed in the db ( for a while anyways ) so search engines can continue to spider it. so... to make the site more usable, i would like to echo "SOLD OUT" in the product listings and product descriptions when the quanity is set to zero. it would also be nice to hide the BUY NOW button in these cases. any ideas? thanks! __________________ greg g web design by skattabrain
Guest
Well the default "sold out" style for osCommerce is *** however to change this go to the following from the admin panel: Configuration -> Stock then click on Mark product out of stock and change it. As for modding so it removes the Buy Now button, that I dunno... yet.
Guest
Ok nevermind, I know what you mean now... yeah I want to know the same thing... it kinda sucks they have to click on the "In Cart" button and find out it's completely out of stock after they put it in the cart. skattabrain
exactly! i would like to swap the buy now / link to add to cart with a "SOLD OUT" image. i would add to that this - the ability for my product listing to say "sold out" instead of quantity 0. thanks though :) __________________ greg g web design by skattabrain
