Site Mapper finds a broken link

Recommended Posts

I am running osCommerce 2.3.4BS.

I just ran a sitemapper of my site and the sitemapper found a broken link,  https://papiobasketsandgifts.com/catalog/"http:/www.enable-javascript.com/" Referring URL: https://papiobasketsandgifts.com/catalog/index.php  Error Code: 404: Not Found .

I found the "http:/www.enable-javascript.com/" string in the file ..\catalog\includes\languages\english\modules\header_tags\ht_noscript.php.

I know that I could just comment out the referencing line in the ht_noscript.php file but, I don't want to fix one thing and break another item.

I have searched through the forum for a solution without any luck so, I'm hoping someone has run into this and has a solution.

Thanks in advance

Tim

If do not plan on using the ht_noscript.php file you can turn it off (if it's turned on), from your admin. Go to Admin/Modules/Header Tags/No Script Message and click Remove Module.

That will stop the header_tag from showing to the customers. Then, the broken link shouldn't show in your sitemap the next time you run it. Although, if the link is actually broken, then you should fix it if you ever plan on using the ht_noscript.php file.

Take care

Bill
