aurelou
Hello all, My 2.2 website version is all modified (not in a good way) and I have a lot of trouble every time I want to change something. I want to totally rebuild my website with the 2.3.4 version and bootstrap, but before that, I want to know if a new version is planned in the near future. If it's the case I will wait a little for this. Thank you a lot.
♥14steve14
The bootstrap community version is being constantly improved and updated. Due to its modular nature making any future updates is easier as long as you do not alter the core code, or at least keep any alterations to this code at a minimum. Developers are adding new modules for this version more than the official version. I took the plunge and updated to this version at the beginning of the year, and its the best move I ever made. Its a shame that there is not a sensible post here about any changes that have been made and why they have been made, but that may come if some enterprising person will take it on. It would make it easier to keep stores updated. A link to this version can be found in my signature. Just look for the edge version in the first post. As to whether there is an update due to the official version, dont bother waiting. Nothing has been announced in years. MrPhil
Don't wait for the official osC 2.4 (or 2.3.5, whichever comes out next), much less 3.0. Who knows when they will appear -- it could literally be tomorrow, or years from now. Harald isn't saying. Just go with the latest and greatest, which is the unofficial 2.3.4BS (responsive) version. Deal with any subsequent official releases as they appear. Don't fall into the trap of staying too long with a given version -- it becomes harder and harder to upgrade as you fall further and further behind. Try to stay reasonably current, so upgrades aren't so painful.
