Links in osC not working

Hi,

 

I´m using osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.1 and I realized today that the links in my shop are not working.

Links to products look like this:

http://www.alin-media.com/Ep2ni/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/71

but should be like this:

http://www.alin-media.com/Ep2ni/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=71

 

Links to product categories:

http://www.alin-media.com/Ep2ni/catalog/index.php/cPath/30

but should be like this:

http://www.alin-media.com/Ep2ni/catalog/index.php?cPath=30

 

This was working for years without problems. I didn´t make any updates or addons.

 

What could be the problem??

Go into your admin, configuration, My Store settings.  Look for "Use Search-Engine Safe URLs" and if it's set to true set it to false.

Or, if it was working OK for years, check if your .htaccess file is still there and functioning. Maybe it got erased somehow. Did your host just upgrade the server and/or PHP versions? Maybe they broke something.

 

By the way, osC 2.3.1 is quite long of tooth. If your host just upgraded to a reasonable PHP version (5.5 and up), it's quite possible that osC broke. If you can temporarily roll back to your old PHP level, use the opportunity to upgrade to 2.3.4BS as soon as possible.
