A Few Questions regarding format in the 2.3.4 BS Version

Recommended Posts

I have just upgraded to 2.3.4BS version and I have a few questions regarding listing products and formatting.

1. I am listing products and I am finding that there are random gaps between the listings. All my pictures are the same size and I am not sure how to fix this? It is not a issue with knowing how to list items but what is happening when I list items.

Here is a page on my website so you can see what I mean;

https://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/index.php?cPath=139_202&sort=2a&page=1

2.  Is there any way to change the amount you display per page ?

IE:   Displaying 1 to 20 (of 67 products)

3.  I was wondering if there was a way to make everything smaller ?  It seems that all the printing in the boxes are huge yet the printing in the main page & anything that I add is normal size. Do I change this in a CSS ? If so can you please direct me to which one exactly as there seems to be a few more in this version?

Here is a page on my website so you can see what I mean;

https://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/product_info.php?cPath=132&products_id=29               ( extremely large print )

Thank you in advance.

1) In Admin under modules - header tags, there is a module called equal height divs. Installing that will help with the layout issues.

2) In Admin under configuration - maximum values, you can change the values there.

1. Try going into your admin area and go to admin - modules - header tags and see if you have Equal Height Divs (jQuery) turned on. If not go to the top of the page and click the install button, find that module and install it. Once its ioinstalled make sure that you set up the pages that allow you to use it on them.

2. In admin go to configuation - maximum values and change from 20 to what ever you wasnt it to be.

3. Changing the text size is not that easy, but what you have to do is to find out the css that is controlling what ever you want to change and add the new sizes into the user.css file in your root folder. How you find what to change will depend on what you are using to view the page. There are several tools that are available for firefox to do this. The main one being firebug. What is available for other browsers I have no idea.

REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP

Thank you so much for the quick responses Ashley & Steve. You two are amazing !!!!

Questions 1 & 2 Done

The thirds question I will look into further. Of all things, playing with the CSS always stresses me out lol. I'll figure it out though.

Thanks again & Have a great week !
