Changing index.php

Hi specialists, my name is Anja and I am editing oscommerce 2.3.4. at this moment on my own pc with xampp. I would like to change the homepage, so instead of New Products, I want to change it, so that it shows news which somebody insert with date, like the old side:

http://www.bpmarine.gr/index.php?a=1&en=1&

Can somebody give me little help with that? :) Thank you!

Greetings from Greece, Anja

You need a blog.  Or an articles system.   Or a news system.

Search the Addons area.

If you are making a new shop, best is to use the community's Responsive osCommerce.

The official 234 download is non-responsive.

First of all, your old site has an HTML comment before the code, and many browsers do not recognize the ISO-8859-7 encoding. Remove (or move to before </head>) everything before <!DOCTYPE>. The DOCTYPE tag must be the very first thing output to the browser.

If the page is showing TEXT_NEWS_DATE_ADDED, that means you left out some code that defines this text field. Recheck your work.
