Upgrading from 2.3 into 2.3.4, keeping images wo database.

Hi experts here,

I have been running OSC for almost ten years and must upgrade to 2.3.4

My problem is, that 2.3.4 has now images in the database. My old version had them in a folder.

I also need them in a folder, since my whole website needs them.

I would rather avoid to have images a two places: i have tons of them.

 

I am problably not the only one.

Do you know a mod to get product images back to old style storage?

There are no images in the database

 

The database stores the name of the image, the image itself is in folder /images/

Thank you. The table is new however, how can I get it populated from a previous version, where this did not exist. I have more than 2000 products...

Yes, there is a new table

 

You don't need to populate it. 

 

The "main" image name is still stored in table "products", this is same as before. The new "product_images" store the names of additional product images for the product information page. 

 

In case there are no additional images, the system use the "main" image
