What's your bounce rate ?

I hv not read your link yet, but my overall bouncerates for sites I manage sux!!!! It hoovers around 50-60% on a good day, and I'm mad when I see any PLA campaign with a bounce rate of up to 80%!!! That's bull shiz to me and I tell Google that it's bringing us crap customers. Even a "good" 50% bounce rate is drastically increasing my cost per conversion. I am almost certain that bounce rate is in the overall ranking algorithm and that's why I had raised a concern with the Google consultants that I was afraid of bumping up my bid too high as it also increases my bounce rate. I was never provided a solution after that and he/she had never called me back in a week like it was promised.

Now, to make you feel awesome I manage the SEO for a site that uses a well known ROI company that charges 15% on CPC campaigns, and from what I am seeing the site's campaign bounce rate was also fluctuate between 50-80%, probably average about 65%. It relief me from thinking that I don't know what I am doing...that site's min daily CPC campaign budget is $1000 (min $350 going to waste???)....no kidding...so it has some statistical significant....

Lastly, I think the bounce rate in alexa is always lower than in Google Analytic.

I also think bounce rate and/or CTR are ranking factors.

I am not sure if clicks from paid ads influence your analytics stats. Google has always claimed that the paid traffic is completely separate to organic search results.

50 -60% bounce rate may not necessarily be a cause for concern according to the above article.

It is only if it costs you $$$ everyday. Don't take me wrong...bounce rate will happen...just minimal would be best when you have to pay for it. There are just so much data mining going on on all of us. I am almost cretain the algorithm distribute highly likely shoppers by ad $$ spent. I would if I am Google....

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

Find the most frequent unique errors to fix:

grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt

osCommerce based shop owner with minimal design and focused on background works. When the less is more.
Email managment with tracking pixel, package managment for shipping, stock management, warehouse managment with bar code reader, parcel shops management on 3000 pickup points without local store.

yes, it means leaving the website just after a few seconds (returning back to google), though I'm just thinking if you keep on staring at a page for 10 minutes and then leave the website, if it still counts as a bounce, I'm not sure.

our rate I think is high because we allow google image browsing and show old products that are no longer sold (and the page says so in that case)

I also wonder about this. Also, i have supertracker installed, and i know for a fact, that some people land, go away to view some other sites maybe, then come back and spend some more time on my site.
