toolcrazy
That depends if you insist if you use the same database. I'm using Xoops and there is the one you are using now, phpBB. But unless you are a PHP expert you will need two seperate databases. Steve -------------------------

dreamscape
if u are looking for a small forum that doesn't require alot of maintenance or skill, I've found miniBB and it integrates pretty nicely into OSC (they can share the same database and u can call the forum as an include)... I'm still working on getting the 2 to share the same login. u can see my forums: http://forums.madmacgames.com miniBB: http://www.minibb.net The only thing necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing - Edmund Burke

networkdad
I'm partial to Invision BB over phpbb http://www.invisionboard.com/
wizardsandwars
Peraonally, I think you're all stoned. phpbb is by far the most user friendly. I've got a script that auto registers you into the forum when you register in the shop, but I havn't got it into productions yet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help. I really wish I was!! :D Hey, when you get the script finished, let me know. It would be a heck of a lot easier with one login. Ok, how does it work, a synopsis. You create an OSC account and it automatically signs you into phpBB. How about vise versa? Steve -------------------------

burt
The thing about phpBB is the strain that it puts onto the server once it gets halfway popular. A better board (server-wise) is Invision Board.

Daemonj
What is everyone's feelings regarding vBulletin? "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds.
