cyberfruits Posted February 26, 2015 Share Posted February 26, 2015 Hi Can any body tell me if there is a way to remove the other countries automaticily or just disable them so the shipping will not be affected? At the moment i can only see me removing them one by one in admin, but that will take a long time, is there an ad on or script php i can change? Mort-lemur Posted February 26, 2015 Share Posted February 26, 2015 You can delete the countries you dont need quickly from the countries table - access it via phpmyadmin on your cpanel Remember to back up your database first.... Now running on a fully modded, Mobile Friendly 2.3.4 Store with the Excellent MTS installed - See my profile for the mods installed ..... Create a Shipping Zone with the UK in it, done at admin > locations/taxes > tax zones ( I dont know why this page is called "tax zones" ) 2. However, simply removing/disabling the airmail shipping options and leaving only UK postage options (in modules/shipping), and then setting admin > configuration > shipping/packaging > Allow Orders Not Matching Defined Shipping Zones > false seems to do the trick. So thank you very much for that Burt. Not thoroughly tested yet, but seem like it will work fine and very easy too! (I have removed the paypal express option off my websites as I found this let people checkout even when checkout was closed in store mode, so I am not sure if the express may still allow people to check out by going to Paypal and then changing their shipping address there) Running a botched up version of osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.4 bootstrap with the dresscode theme installed, numerous add-ons, terrible coding, terrible website, but will have to make do until I have made up for my losses and can risk shutting down for a couple of weeks while I start all over again. - I did not install my program but am endeavouring to fix it with your help.
