Google Material Design - only for mobile or everywhere

I was reading a little about google material design, their metaphore for UI design, focused on mobile, but since everything is going mobile, i suspect this will become mainstream for responsive sites.

This is the link to the introduction and the guidelines

https://www.google.com/design/spec/material-design/introduction.html

Most relevant I found was the card concept, one of the components

https://www.google.com/design/spec/components/cards.html#

I wondered if this was already adapted for ecommerce, there are some people working on different UI libraries to bring this solution to websites built with Bootstrap, but also without bootstrap.

Then during my browsing for summer vacation this week, I just came across some nice websites that use these UI metaphones.

They are not strictly ecommerce, but still something I think can be learned from these. So here are the links:

Enjoy

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

I do not use the responsive bootstrap version since i coded my responsive version earlier, but i have bought every 28d of code package to support burts effort and keep this forum alive (albeit more like on life support).

So if you are still here ? What are you waiting for ?!

Find the most frequent unique errors to fix:

grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt

looks to me like they prepare for holographs.

I wasn't sure if you meant hologram or holographs - but I found this nice video about holographs at microsoft, so i guess this is what you meant
