ArtcoInc
I have been testing my site on my local server, before moving it to my host's server. My host is running Linux, and my test server is LAMP on Windows. So, to test outgoing email, I had to add the PHP SMTP modules. I spent *hours* trying to figure out why, when osC said that outgoing emails *were* being sent (either through Contact Us, or through the Admin 'Send Email' screen), I never received any. FINALLY, I found that they *were* being sent, but my host is running Spam Assassin, and all of my outgoing test emails were being caught by Spam Assassin. Here is a sample from a caught email: ============================================================================== Spam detection software, running on the system "####.#######.com", has identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn't spam) or label similar future email. If you have any questions, see root\@@localhost for details. That said, if our customers can't reach us, or if we can't reach them, we have a problem. So, is there any way to clean up the outgoing emails from osC to make them less likely to be treated as Spam? Thanks! Malcolm
