How do you go about upgrading from the 2.2 version to 2.3 can someone give me step by step instructions please?

Note that this is not a complete upgrade. You will get all of the security and bug fixes, but not the theme capability, modules, etc. For a complete upgrade you need to install the full 2.3.3 and import your database.

If you do a new installation for 2.3.3 and import your database, I take it you would have to redo any custom code that you did on your original site? I had someone else do my site originally so I am just curious as I will have to take on that job myself this time.

Any clear, step-by-step instructions for importing the database?
I'm ready to re-create everything I have except for my customer table. I have to keep that, or else I can't switch over. Any simple SQL that would take care of that?
